Tbf, near dead is a normal trope in most action isekai. Just in a different form here. Usually, the main character will always fight an extremely dangerous enemy and only win by a hair's breadth. And they repeat it about a dozen times or more before the series ends.

Have you tried to read the LN? Incomplete or broken sentences are bread and butter of Haruka and his retinue. So manga chapters feel weirdly appropriate.
