What if I told you, Inuyasha is an Isekai Manga? And Inuyasha is not alone. We have Digimon Adventures as Isekai anime, F/SN is also Isekai (the servants got Isekai'd), heck even The Matrix is Isekai.

@Trimmage Inuyasha is not an isekai, its time travel. The sacred well connects two different times in the same world, not two different worlds. Kagome is the present day reincarnation of Kikyo from the past. I'm not entirely sure about F/SN; I think they have a bunch of parallel dimension things going on so probably. The other two are def isekai though.

It is interesting, I guess. I mean kinda nice that not every fantasy world has the same blocky, vaguely european-looking buildings...

@Trimmage : FSN is hardly considered as isekai because the hero spirits are still part of it's universe, more like time travel, just stand by in pocket space when not summon. Matrix, SAO, Ghost in the Shell with virture words also just part of it's universe. Why isekai mean transport to parallel / other universe. Mirror world or worlds that created by the Wish Telephone Booth in Doraemon are counted as paralleld world, thus isekai.

@Vigo_to_Vigo : Matrix is also not isekai., it's just a virtual world man-made created, running with real time and still part of it universe, people outside it can still watching and contact directly with it, as same as Ready Player One, Ghost in the Shell.

@SotiCoto I would have taken the basic medieval Europeans building over this though, it looks lot more like a big, depressed village rather then a town. But I applaud the artist for trying something new.
