So she's honestly probably stupidly high leveled already, with the augmentation to her physicality that goes with that in this setting.

Well, I was expecting a 1-2 chapter break while the two went their separate ways to prepare to go up / go down and meet in the middle, but this development isn't bad either.

Beats delaying the inevitable with what some would consider a filler arc, and it's a subversion of what normally is expected in a shounen-style story, where it definitely would have taken 2 chapters minimum and a training / prep arc to meet again.

Some manga have gone off track and died due to partings like that, especially when they were prolonged. Better not to risk it, imho.

Fair enough, but I feel that this is the more unusual approach in manga vs. the usual "training arc" and then "struggle to reunite" arcs so common in manga.

This isn't a long running shounen series where you can expect the readership to stay if the plot and main character relationship goes off track and put aside. Especially if it's for more than a chapter or two.

It's fine to drop it, but if you ever change your mind and come back, the manga still might be worth reading is what I'm saying. As long as they keep exploring innovative solutions to problems using modern-day home center stuff, the core of the story and premise will still be there.

My problem isn't with avoiding the effort in getting reunited - I also understand in a series like this properly separating the two likely would have a fair dropoff in readership. My problem is with the author presenting it as an actual in-universe problem and attempting to get us emotionally invested only to say "Nah. Gotcha lol". This isn't a real world, the author chose to write it in this way. The prank Maho is pulling on Fiona is a prank the author is pulling on us, but it isn't particularly funny, and just feels like they're choosing to waste my time and emotional investment.

If I can't trust an author to deliver on what they actively present as an important moment, I'm certainly not going to trust them to deliver on the core premise.

Ah wait, is this why it's called "Dungeon Renovation"? Is the next step of the story will be literally about renovating the Dungeon so it can become a popular adventuring spot once again?

I know this is an adaptation so there's already an answer to this but just putting my thoughts out here.

I'm one of those people who reads chapters in batches and randomly whenever something shows up in my feed, so I was like, huh, I remember that one, guess it got updated, lemme check the last ~7 chapters

Now, imagine sitting there for three months with this cliffhanger to a potentially tear-jerking arc only for it to be resolved with a little bit of good old percussive maintenance...

Well that was quickly resolved. Good the two get to stay together but kinda feels a waste setting up that drama of leaving her behind. Could have been a quick few panels of "I doubt it'll work for you but give it a go. Oh, it does. We're good then."

I think it is more likely that they intended to split the party before the break, but either they or the editor watched the comments and reactions and said "come up with a way to undo that".
