thanks for the chapter!!

gotta say that I'm not that surprised the count is corrupted, since I guessed at least one of the people who were at the tea party was. I mean, a monster from a specific dungeon, randomly appearing at the place the princess is, if that's not suspicious then I don't know what is.

anw, so the count thinks the princess is the child of prophecy? He's kinda dumb lol

I do like that as far as I can tell everyone is interpreting the god's treasure as something metaphorical, meanwhile Reni just actually has a wish granting orb with her that she knows for a fact is the treasure this prophecy speaks of.

If it is the count, then he probably realizes MC was the one they are looking for. Is he going to use Carrie as a hostage to get the MC? It better not be him being braindead and thinking it is Carrie

You think he noticed the invisible cat girl, when the haunted armor was cleansed right in front of the princess suspected of being the destined child?

It’s always nice when the bad guy starts monologuing and revealing their evil plans isn’t it?

He should know that she killed a dragon based on testimony of princess and her servants. Of course it isn't impossible for him to think they are hiding her power, but in that case wouldn't claiming it was the elf be more realistic?

Not to mention they think the goddess and elves are connected. So wouldn't an elf accompanying a beastkin and addressing the beastkin as -sama be a hint in itself?

The elf kept her distance each time, and Reni keeps her hood up (so her Stealth is on) during each fight. The obvious takeaway is that the princess must have done something to protect her little Cat friend, when cornered.

While possible, an elf kept calling a beastkin "-sama", being super protective of her. The elf and the beastkin saved the princess from a dragon and a powerful undead (that was probably sent by the Count to kidnap the princess) was purified in the presence of that same elf and beastkin. They believe the elves are the closest humanoids to the Goddess, so it's not a big stretch to assume that the elf is protecting the Child of the Prophecy. He could be thinking: "Maybe the beastkin child purified the undead with a ranged power, after all it is the Goddess powers we are talking about. Maybe the Goddess herself protected the child in danger."

The beastkin child was seen eating cakes and then disappears when the commotion starts, everyone's eyes are focused on the Elf struggling with the monster at range with her bow and magic, and the princess that's being shielded by knights and maids. then there's a bright light, the armor is empty, and the beastkin appears to comfort the princess.
