She got less annoying and less self-centered (as compared to the first 15-ish chapters). This merchant thing is making her a better person... Which is weird... lol
Many thanks

@RonBWL: Just think of any term in kanji as being 'Eastern version' of that item.

Abacus IS a calculator, as in it's used to calculate things.

One of the more standout thing in the future:
'playing cards'

She make both karuta (more specifically uta-garuta) AND the poker cards

@unime: It's why I usually tell people to bear with her at least until the "It's fine if you're my Myne" chapter.
The early chapters are necessary to give the changes to her more impact, you don't appreciate her future personality as much until you see the selfish her before the changes.
Personality wise, she'll keep growing and changing until I'd say the end of arc 3.
Arc 4 onward
Can roughly be understood as the world is not prepared to face the Merchant Saintess

Thus one of my personal nickname for this series is "Myne, wat r u doin, Myne, stahp (she don stahp)"

With the highlight moment of that nickname comes in when
(Can't do spoiler in spoiler so only scroll down if you're prepared, it's a really major one)

She gets a vision of the man she's totally in love with but oblivious about her feeling herself getting poisoned and on the verge of death, inside a secret room that only domain lords and those recognized can enter.

To save him she:
Suzaku him using the name stone (i.e. "you must live"), essentially forcing a magical command over his body.
Contact a domain known for their hotblooded knights and ask them "Would you like to have your knights participate in a REAL territory war game?" (they've only done school-level ones)
Normally they wouldn't accept such request, since their motto is they're the sword of the Ruler

But she not so subtly hint to them that she has obtained the proof of qualification to become a Ruler, which right now the country is in decline because they don't have a real Ruler in place (there's royal family, but they lacks said magic item proof to let them properly run the country ruling magic)

Then she informs her noble family that the domain that poisoned her husbando will be trying to invade this domain to steal it, and what their real target is (the smaller version of country ruling magic, for this domain)

So while her family handle the defensive battle, she joins the knight domain group, invade the other side, and HIJACK THEIR RULING MAGIC, making her the new domain lord and thus can access the hidden space.

So tl;dr
To save her husbando, she declare war on the neighboring domain (which to be fair is trying to invade hers anyway) and steal the domain from them all so she can enter the hidden space he's in.

@WhimsiCat I'm aware of that, it's just Myne came from a modern world so I'm uncertain whether she'd actually know the term Abacus is used here. I decided to trust Fulldiver on this just to be safe, but if we can be 100% certain, we'll adapt TL accordingly

@Duainfey: I know :v was editing it and deciding how many lines I should add to be safe since I can't have spoilerception

@RonBWL: Another item I just remember
Diptych

She call it 'shojiban', and when Lutz asked what it is she say it can also by called "diptych" (in kana) among some other names.

Thanks for this chapter.
I look forward to seeing the chapter in which Maine will tell the truth to his family.
Please don't consider spoiler what I just wrote but sooner or later he will have to tell them, he will also have to tell them about the fever that is slowly consuming them.

As soon as we learned there's magic in that world, there were theories the fever is a result of that, which would make sense seeing how she's a reincarnator (well, not exactly, but close enough). Typically isekaied people aren't born with no chance of getting considerably stronger. All in all it'd not be a new idea. Unused and untrained magic potential causing trouble, even lethal problems, has been used in fiction before. Still, it's a really scummy world, and thus realistic, if the nobles are trying to keep all about it a secret even from rich merchants. It's kind of annoying it's going on for such a long time for Main.

Assuming it is due to magic and magic is very rare in that world, you'd think some people would be on the lookout for it, actively acquiring people who show the symptoms, to put them to extremely important and profitable work. I mean, it would definitely be used in the competition among the nobles and also between countries. The one with the most mages would be a winner. Even if they wanted to control the knowledge, and the privilege, human greed simply can't be controlled. Just look at this series so far in general: It's full of capitalism, inequality, and greed.

But of course it's also possible it has got nothing to do with magic, in which case this talk was just nonsense.

Edit: I almost forgot: Main's mother, take off your clothes and join the bath. Those little brats can provide no fanservice whatsoever.

Page 8 "I'm resting today just in case, but i'm should be able to go out tomorrow." shouldn't it be "..., i should be able..."

@Kaarme it makes sense for the nobles to keep the secret under wraps; if the cure's expensive because of rarity, then most peasants wouldn't be able to afford it anyway. Telling them of something that they won't have would likely add to the suffering and risk a rebellion which would get more people killed.

If they're exceptional enough to earn gold coins, like Main, they're likely to find out anyway about the cure.
