In WN, Myne didn't deal with the large tronbe at all (she only heal the land afterward), the one idiot knight attack her was indeed there (he cut her palm and the blood that fell trigger tronbe spawns that nearly choked Myne to death)
Said knight get executed, and his parent is actually one of the traitorous nobles anyway.
The other knight,Damuel , who tried to stop the 1st guy but was forced back due to status hierarchy ends up becoming her guard knight as his punishment.
(fun fact: Damuel's name was actually meant to be Samuel, but the author fat-fingered it and by the time she realized it people already made some thoughts on it already so eh)
The guy Ferdinand's talking to should be Karsdtet, the knight commander and the 'initial' adoption candidate for Myne.
Btw, in regard to how they handle the aftermath of temple chief incident.
Myne and her family will have to sign a magic contract that prevent them from ever interact as family (writing letters are ok, and yes the nobles intentionally left that loophole there)
During their farewells, Myne's mana start to overflow from the deep feelings she felt, initially Ferdinand told her to suppress it but Myne refused.
She said that since the mana is overflowing from the feelings for her family, she has to use it for her family.
She then proceed to just prayed to the Gods, and her prayer turned into blessings. Healing her dad's arm that was injured during the fight, as well as flying to various other people, Damuel included since he helped protect her.
'publicly' they declare that Myne was killed during the fight, and do a normal funeral in the lower city.
In the mean time Myne, the lord (Sylvester is his name btw), Karsdtet and Ferdinand discuss what'll happen now.
The result is that Myne will debut/baptize into noble society as the secret daughter of Kardstet, who he sent to the temple to avoid getting caught in the family feud that resulted in her mother's death (his 3rd wife), and her new name is Rozemyne (from her 'mother's Rosemarie and Myne)
And the temple chief, not being aware of her true status, assumed she's a commoner.
And after her baptism, the lord will publicly declare he's adopting her to his family and have her promote the plant paper/printing as the domain's specialty product (because with he new position, pretty much nobody can refuse her order)
Most of her worker/merchants acquaintances will just be told 'yeah, she's actually a whimsical noble girl who liked sneaking out into lower city', though some like Frieda who know of Myne personally were given a subtle threat of "I'm sure you're smart enough to know what to do"
...since most of them had the 'the weird rich girl' opinion of her anyway, most don't really care that much as long as she still give them work all the same.
And Damuel, who was just a low noble, become topic of discussion among the knight for a while, since his mana pool that should've stopped growing once he's adult suddenly showed some growth (it's Myne's blessing)
It's not much and unlikely to make him become strong enough to gain any prominence, but it's still a surprise to many...
And that little blessing is how he ends up asking Myne something that ends up becoming quite an impact in the domain...
:v but that's only if you want that particular spoiler
