Maybe, but we don't actually know yet. It would definitely be stupid if the author used this plot just to manufacture a love triangle, but they also could go somewhere interesting with it.

I can’t quite put my finger on it, but I feel like the body swap kinda ruined the story a bit.
However I still find this interesting so I’m gonna stick to this manga.

Also I don't know why people are tired of the body swapping trope. Maybe I'm reading the wrong things cause I don't see it that often. Obviously the best body swap romance is Your Name, but I really haven't seen it in many other things.

I also think that there's an interesting mystery as to why the body swap started, and we didn't see what the girl wished for on the shooting star.

All in all, I think that we need to let the author cook. I see a lot of negative comments without much real criticism and a lot of assumptions about how the series will go. It's like you're sitting down watching a chef prepare a meal and he starts to dice a shallot but you say incredulously, "Is that all that I'm going to eat? A diced shallot. This meal is so lame. I bet the cook is just gonna slice the shallot and make a shitty sauce and put it on an Omaha steak". The cook (author) hasn't even really started cooking and you're already judging the meal (manga).

I'm not usually the type to hound on this sort of thing, but my god is this such anxiety and PTSD bait. Starts off by making it so that the main girl cheats (or appears to in this case), the dude gets a form of trauma, and then they meet up later in life and the guy's supposed to forgive her. Would've maybe worked if the mangaka didn't make the MC less physically attractive than any other guy in the story, or didn't make the girl be smarter and just objectively better off in every way. As a person with PTSD (partly due to shit like what's happened up to now in the manga), this is just playing off the probably wide-scale insecurity of the male manga reader market - with us just hoping something will turn out better for once

So, #1 the guy's a wimp because he's still hung up on a girl who dumped him three years ago. Just not getting over a breakup is bad enough, but not getting over it when she revealed herself as *itch is much worse.

Note that Lemon may have come up with the lie in the heat of the moment, but she would have had ample opportunity to clear the air -- she didn't.

But of course the core of a lot of JP romantic comedies is "characters say and do stupid shit, never bother to fix it, and it blows up into a chaotic mess".

If the author makes him goes back with this witch again, Im going to be pretty disappointed, and I believe a lot of people will be. Because, it subtly means the author is fine with this witch hurting him for this long. And its ending the story with status quo, nothing is learned and the "cheater" or Im just going to say the "perpetrator", wins.

It was said. She wanted to change the way she was and for some reason she had to break up with him for that to happen. Why she needed to break up is the big question. The ntr lie was just a way she thought would make it easier for him to give up. Unless there's a story that shows him to be a very bad person, I wouldn't forgive her, but we know that in the end there will be forgiveness and a great chance for them to be together.

I would forgive her on account of being child at the time, but maybe I'm too soft.
