Not the first time I have seen them do this. Saw them in a chapter discussion for "Webtoon character Na Kang Lim". Some context is the girl in question is an idol and she attended a photoshoot and a bit short staffed or something so she asked mc to be her mana. And then the usual stuff, she was feeling depressed about the job and he encourages her about her job. Then dude said this:
"i hate this trope where mc supports and affirms girl striving for her dreams. might as well be crossdressing
somehow asians just see no contradiction between playing that trope straight and having the girl have a shy maiden side but only for the mc"
yeah. And it's in chapter 5 of the webtoon
