im pretty sure ive been reading the web novel since ive been informed this is following the light novel. Nothing has been changed yet besides the order of things. In the wn his family issues are resolved first then it moves on to her, looks like here it's addressing both at the same time which feels more natural and better narratively

In the WN, MC's issues are solved first before FeMC's. Obviously that affects what happens so the order of things have changed. I read in the LN Afterword that new stuff has been added but I honestly can't remember which are the new stuff.

In the LN and probably this manga, they solve FeMC's issues first before MC reconciles with his mom.

Could've talked it out with his family first since he brought her in and wasn't against it. Maybe have her stay along with his family for now.

I'm kinda liking this. They're taking necessary steps to try improve FMC's situation by removing her from the influence of her mother (and sister, but I doubt either of them know just how much of FMC's suffering is literally the result of her sister's obsessiveness). A lot of other romance manga I've read would've had them try talk it over with the mother where she'd reveal a super good reason for her cold demeaner and it'd all work out signalling that the manga would end soon. As for why the MC is willing to run away with her instead of sheltering her with him and his family, maybe he doesn't want to burden his family? Or perhaps he thinks they need to go to a different town/city for extra safety?

Idunno guys, I think I sorta get it. Mum is really emotionally abusive and neglectful of main girl in favour of older sister, so older sister who initially just cares a normal amount starts getting more and more overprotective of her in response, trying to give her the affection their mother is denying her.

Mum notices the increased attachment at some point, and realises that she needs to keep main girl from at least seeming too upset if she wants to keep the sister happy, but because she’s a shit mother, her way to try and keep main girl from being upset is to say “hey, stop being upset, it’s annoying”. This makes main girl more upset, which makes sister more upset, which makes mum more upset and pissy, completing another cycle in the endless downward spiral of main girls depression, older sisters overprotectiveness and their mums emotional abuse.

Rarely to this level but yes and some time you have to see how its worse for others before you can understand how good you have it
