IDK if the author's written families before but idk how many rom-coms actually have a pregnancy arc versus flashing forward to raising a kid or so tho i imagine they would probably end up actually having a discussion about it than it being a surprise (tho even with chihiro freelancing, with that last 'deadline' chapter i imagine it's hard to have a kid even with two parents without like one of their in laws moving into their neighborhood as well)
