Thanks for the translation!

Small note: "Bon appétit"'s meaning is more like "(I will/let's) Enjoy the meal" or "Let's eat well".
(Also, for those who don't know, the T at the end is silent. The pronunciation is "Bon napéti" and not "Bon appetite" like I hear a lot of people say. )

French lesson aside, cute chapter! It's easy to be snappy when you're sick, so it's good she realised it soon enough. Back pain are a pain in the... well, back.

I'm happy that the relationship with those two is still going well!

I don't think the writer actually wanted to imply she just slipped a disc right there and then lol. A hernia will fuck. you. up.

Remember to stick your butt out and lift with your legs, folks.

What is this about "i am being sharp (aka a dick) because i depend on you"? So you want him to leave you? I'm starting to think it was the better decision to not move in.
You just don't understand anything at all. She just acts a little childishly and doesn't have to be serious and responsible like with her subordinates. It shows that she is comfortable being with him. And in case you haven't noticed, she was in extreme pain. When people are in pain or sick, they aren't in the condition to act nice.

I like that they worked things out in a quick but not forced way. Reasonable friction. Fushimi acknowledges that she was being a little unfair to Toda and was coming off as ungrateful, and apologizes, but also admits that part of it is that she trusts him and feels like she can let her guard down around Toda and be more direct (and a little spoiled).

Also I never knew that about that salt thing for hair on okra.

Her "go to" respond to his actions (which are completely out of kindness btw) is criticism. She apologizes for it but keeps doing it anyway. His apology also doesn't make any sense since he was not being childish she was. Just tell the man what you need instead of counting faults of everything he brings everytime.

I never had a slipped disc, but the week I turned 30yo I had a inflammation in the penultimate disc before the coccyx, basically couldn't walk and the pain was mind shattering, was on and off the hospital and pain medication for weeks then treatment for a month, all this just right after a break up with my ex-gf...
Never want to go through something like that again...

i'm pretty sure a slipped disc is not something that you can just rest off.
for slipped disc, resting and conservative therapy are typically the treatment as far as I know, so maybe not completely out of the question to start with this

in any case, the original phrase ぎっくり腰 also means "strained back" which I feel like might be more appropriate for the level of injury presented here
