Like seriously, what would expect him to do? Throw a tantrum? Boycott? Fight her dad in retaliation? Those are all going to get him fired and back on the streets, and that's the best of the worst case scenarios. The worst worst could be his execution.

As things are now, there really isn't anything MC can do to stop FMC's next potential engagement, and she's taking the frustration out on him by acting unreasonably cold towards him just because he's not going above and beyond of what was originally expected of him as her personal servant: being her personal tsundere interpreter.

She may be acting cold towards him, but I reckon it is for a reason. A reason like her trying to be self-sufficient so that she can run away with him. She may be doing manual labor so she can get a job when she leaves her house. Mei wanted to say something to Gray and Alicia stopped her. The way Mei made it seem she was most likely going to tell him it isn’t what he thinks or something along those lines.

While it wouldn’t be super strange for Alicia to start acting like she doesn’t care about him after that 1 conversation, I highly doubt that is the case here. She really liked him and sure he put himself down and drew a line, but we have seen that Alicia doesn’t care about lines or standing when it comes to him.
