i’m a little surprised, because i definitely thought the opening chapters were hinting at his “sister” character with similar hair who was practicing noble manners to have been picked up by a noble family and become fl, forgetting what happened in childhood or something (extremely common cliche). that’s basically deconfirmed with her knowing nothing at all about poverty

I'm not buying all this "reasoned" talk in this thread, not one bit. lol

I'm 95.45% certain that if Alicia had the body shape of that androgynous maid (whose body sprouted middling, still easily hidden curves for one chapter lol), and Maya had Alicia's body, all the people defending Maya and MC-kun's actions would change their tunes diametrically: they would be clamoring for the author to turn the story around as arbitrarily as an author could. And indeed, there already is at least one person in this thread who--despite knowing what was in store for him when he started this manga--just can't stand Alicia's feminine figure. No different from whenever a girl like her shows up anywhere else--even the comments of chapter one of this manga.

Speaking of the pen of the author, people here buy MC-kun's whimpering about his low birth and the squalor he lived in, but say nothing about all the other stories that take a guy like that and have him overcome the odds in spite of them--odds just as stacked to the ceiling against such a guy. For some reason, MC-kun just can't in this case. It's just different, now.

Like I said: switch Alicia's and Maya's body shapes and then see how "different" circumstances would be for those people. lol
