God, how I missed "making demon babies for dummies: the manga"
or as this chapter showed:
Fresh napalm and "Fortunate Son" starts playing: the cliffhanger.

But yeah, people forget that the demons want(ed) the children for war. Of course that very war goes on because humanity keeps Demon Momma in prison, but who knows what was the true reason for war (besides Human King being mad jelly that Demon Queen wanted her summoned human instead of him).
I also really liked that this series went for the old, kinda pre-tolkien definition of dwarves - spirits of the earth, and elves- spirits of the forest. That they are two sides of the same coin. And I hope that Soldat will return that hairpin unless he wants to fell the wrath of 4 Catalysts, Demon Papa and Slimebert.
That said I can already see next chapters with MCs defeating human inquisition, children displaying their talents in helping both dwarves and elves. You have healing food for the wounded, you have super plantations so no one will starve any more, Quarte will rebuild whole village super fast and Trois will summon ultimate beasts to help with it all.
And then both sides will sign peace treaty with demons, and they will give Akari their super-special symbol of friendship... with built-in one time "insta preggo" feature.

the "intel" the king received could've been from Albert no? or at least Albert could've been the source of it if the king sent spies to tail him.

The humans are in the wrong regarding this specific action, but we don't know where it's all coming from. Is it the mad leadership of one corrupt king? Are they acting out of fear? The demons seem to war with them because they've always only known war. Yeah, the humans captured Queen Derniere, but the comic showed that she was waging war on them even before all that. How deep do the roots of this conflict go?

@GodGinrai I wouldn't exactly call them "innocent". They abducted somebody, a crime, with the intent to kill her should they decide she committed some bs crime they created, also a crime. The irony in this is, had they succeeded, they would've caused a war between the demons and themselves because "Papa" would not be happy at all. The hero would probably be pretty pissed too so there's that.

@dope0420 The townspeople did not kidnap her. The leaders of their nations did. Those people are innocent. Likely, the laypeople didn't even know that their leaders intended to do this.

@GodGinrai We don't know that. For all we know the townsfolk recommended the leaders take action. Even if they didn't, they had planned to judge her and considering the criteria for their judgement, has she popped out babies, they'd've found her guilty anyway and the townsfolk would've went along with it. More importantly, when the leader f***s up, the people pay for it. Innocent or not.
