This is such an underrated story. I wish someone would pick it up since the previous group dropped it after season 1.

Almost a year further edit: I guess that person is me, in the end. :ROFLMAO:

It’s really freaking interesting

but I can’t help hoping this doesn’t end up like a typical shoujo. Like you know, fmc, multiple love interests and they are seemingly wolves who can do things that would at least be mild SA but somehow they’re fine, with her reaction going,
“no stop” doki doki~

At first, the mc seems like he’s another one of those characters too, like the ones where they don’t even know each other, yet the guy just gets overly assertive.
But considering he already knew her incarnations,
it’s actually understandable.

I really like their dynamic and hope we don’t end up having the typical guy vs guy trying to force the girl to their side type of shi

I'm keeping up with the raws, so if you'd like I can spoil you.
It's def not the case. This story is very plot and adventure-heavy, which is why I love it. There's only one love interest and that's Saorak... well there was also a guy in Aru's hometown who confessed to her before the story began, but she turned him down.

I actually pity Saorak, his story is addressed in season 3. He has been warring with humans since he can remember because they were all after his blood and flesh which is said to invigorise and strengthen whomever consumes it. When he was still an infant and knew no better, he approached a human settlement where he got captured and killed over and over, but because he was a dragon he would revive. His captors ate his flesh and drank his blood. Until he escaped and when he grew older he could retaliate and fight back. He was never evil to begin with, he just wanted to live and be left in peace but human greed kept chasing him. Which is why he hates humans with all his passion. Sharon/ Aru were the only individuals who treated him differently and since he was alone for all his life, which was more than a thousand years, meeting someone whom he could talk with made him realise how lonely he was. Saorak never had any bad intentions for Aru. He was traumatised because he saw every incarnation of Sharon getting indiscriminately killed over and over. The only way for Saorak to get his heart back is for either Aru to fall in love with him or, he kills her and retrieves it by force.

The reason why he believes the first option is impossible is because Sharon killed herself and the story reveals that Sharon also started the hunt for her reincarnations, which I find fishy. But made him think that she hated him so much that she would rather die than be with him and since Saorak knows he's regarded as a monster by others got traumatised by it. He believes no one can love him because he's a dragon and despite Sharon's actions he still loves her. Saorak never met the other reincarnations of Sharon because he had lost his body after Sharon's suicide, his resurrection was linked to the state of his heart, but because all the reincarnations before Aru never made it to adulthood Saorak was not able to resurrect properly either. Instead, he witnessed all of them getting killed while he could do nothing about it. Aru is the only one who made it to adulthood. This also explains why he was so paranoid before trying to kill her, because part of him still hoped she could love him back, but the memory of the past makes it impossible to believe that and if he didn't retrieve his heart and end the hunt, the church would kill Aru and everything would repeat again and again. And these church guys do not discriminate, they even kill babies if it helps them reach their goals.
