Huh. This is the first time I've had enough data to notice this but Peter definitely has eyes and Bibi can't see them at all.

Meanwhile she saw Amy's eyes the second she started seeing her in color.
Essaying mode: the fact that Peter lacks eyes when seen by Bibi is meant to represent that she does not actually see him for the person he really is, but only for an imaginary figure that she thinks he is, which then inevitably leads to a disappointment upon realization of the disparity between what was imagined and what has came to be. (or not, I haven't actually read ahead)

I think it's interesting that Bibi and Amy both seem to have abnormal POVs.

Like at first Peter seems like a character with none/hard to see eyes because Amy also usually saw him with no eyes. I think in her case it's because she's got social anxiety and is especially uncomfortable around dudes, so they look vague from her POV.

Meanwhile Bibi sees most people as beige silhouettes, probably because she doesn't care about them at all.
