@Christopher

The Novel is pretty good (or at least the translated is really good). A lot of reading, but the settings are there. The manga on the other hands is kind of short. It does its job telling the story but not as much as Novel did.

I'd love to keep reading this because I like it, but the english is just to jumble up and out of order in a lot of places. I think I'm going to step away from this for a little while. The linguistic gymnastics I have to do to fully understand what's going on is giving me a headache.?

Thank you Loli Mamoritai for the chapters! Don't pay attention to the haters, they don't deserve it. We real readers love you!

Thanks again @Sonic for your hard work, this chapter (14.2) conclude this arc (and volume 1 of the novel). Looking to volume 2, very nice and interesting story.

So, wait, were people skipping the very obviously placed text below the original Japanese, simply because it was out of frame or slightly to the side?
Thus far the only thing (other than side text on advertisements for other things) that wasn't translated (that I caught) was the sign for the statue...

It isn't like everyone has the time, budget, artistic skills, or desire to "white out" the original text and replace it with the translation. I, for one, much prefer the more gentle way of giving us the translation when a larger team isn't able to nicely redraw what is erased to add the English text...

(Note to self, don't write comments when half asleep. They are near unreadable...)

That’s part of the problem tho. It makes the story that much harder to follow if text isn’t placed where it belongs.

There are other groups that do a sh1t job too but at least they’ve put a huge a$$ stroke around the text to mostly cover what they don’t want to redraw text for that panel where he didn’t want to white out such nicely done formatting.. (the shadow behind) it’s photoshop 101... hell its easy in GIMP AND Ps.

We can agree, it everyone has the time and interest in doing a quality job. But it does make it harder to enjoy and follow.

There’s a few stories that are less enjoyable as a result (world custom creator is one)

What I find MOST annoying however is 3-5 pages duplicated between chapters. Not summary pages, exact same pages....

We need ONE max.

But yeah, I just marathoned from the beginning tonight so it feels a bit more prounounced. That said, if I need to revisit what’s going on.. I go back!

@Demi

They need obviously to make it proofreader better. Lol?

@rtessalee0

Hmm.. didn’t realize there was a light novel version... looks like it’s currently at c82~ ... it’s under my general requirement of available chapters before I read it unless they are LONG.. (I prefer when it has 100-200 chapters).

Can you tell me how fast it the manga is catching up to it? Like c14.2 is what chapter of the LN?

if she really wants to have slightly larger breasts... can’t she make a potion for that...?

I think it’s 80,000 gold or something. And I think it’s a taser gun (illegal in Japan)

In the Isekai she can jump back and forth I think.

Chapter 14.2 is halfway down ch23 of the LN.

After re-reading the novel again I think I know where the translations used in the manga came from... it is almost(if not) identical to the translated novel. Probably why I feel Deja Vu while reading the manga version. I don't know much about how close the manga raw translation is but most bubble texts are probably from translated Novel. Is that even allowed?

Typical self-important artist line:
"You don't like my art because you don't understand it!"
or
"You don't understand my art because you don't look closely enough!"

This is exactly the tone I get from Loli Mamoritai's gripe before the latest chapters.
But I disagree.
People are having a hard time grasping the dialogue/etc because YOUR TRANSLATIONS ARE ATROCIOUS.
Find a proofreader worth more than the air you exhale and the difference will be night and day.

(Edit: I would be more than happy to just take over the translations/proofreading myself, had I the time).

Any of y'all know how to @ Loli Mamoritai? Or the person in question's username, so I can stick it on a comment and send them a notification or PM? Seems he's mad at me in specific, and I don't know how to contact him on Mangadex aside from dropping a comment onto the group's page.

@DemoDango Or they have a hard time because they are 5. I'm seriously dumbfounded someone actually had a hard time with such a simple manga

You can highlight the text all you want. It doesn't fix the broken pacing or poor convoluted writing. Confusion can be fixed with rereading, but you can't fix bad.

They don't use mangadex. Other people upload their works. So specifically, Sonic.

BTW. SlowAF hasn't dropped this. We're just living up to our namesake. Should have Chapter 11 soon. I want it out today if possible.
