It's a kinda weird trope in rebirth manga that the family who hates the MC shows MC attention/concern. Like where us this coming from? Why didn't the family care about her in the past when she left them to become a sword if they all secretly cared?

Is there a point/reason to this, or is it to give the reader satisfaction that they suddenly regret their actions? It just seems weird that throughout the manga they obviously didn't care about this girl, but now she's suddenly cold, they're all interested in her.
