@IMACOP

I think calling him "baggage" and "dead weight" is a bit harsh. Thinking those things would imply that they were looking down on him and saw him as something inferior; seeing him in a negative light. Given their personalities and reactions, it feels more like they were just worried about his safety and well-being. Given his skillset. the MC clearly isn't an adventurer type; he's a trainer type. Extremely useful for promoting the growth of others, but not so useful on his own. Nothing wrong with that at all; everyone has their roles, and it seems like they all understand that.

Edit: Though I've never read the LN, if there is one, so I only have this manga to base my initial impressions on

@Guytsu Yeah, they didn't look down on him. I'm just using those terms because it is what it is, and it's no skin off my back.

Never read the WN either, but honestly, I hope it'll be better. If it follows the norm, I won't be surprised if hero party gets screwed because of their decision, no matter whether it's justified or not, simply because the world revolves around the MC and anyone who did any little thing to the MC is gonna get screwed big time. I also wont be surprised if MC suddenly gets an ability like, for each follower of his, he becomes x2 stronger, or something. 😛

@IMACOP I disagree, its pretty obvious that the brat talked them into that, if they had waited for the sorceress she would have spoken out for him, that would have made the glasses girl speak out too, and the hero would have seen that its not that obvious (it is pretty clear that he is an absolute failure as a leader, that is easily talked into something from what we have seen so far for me), in a open discussion it would probably have ended 3 to 2 for him (and as said, change his duties, a great hero party needs someone who organises and stuff, there are always important jobs that someone can do without the same fighting power)

And yeah Hero and glasses girl obviously care for him, sorceress probably will leave the party to go to him as attached as she was showed (which makes the desicion really dumb, party cohesion is important and by ignoring her obvious attachment they effectivly weakened themselfs, even if Eiga himself isnt a "loss" of power), the guy seems detached from it and the healer is the driving force, i cant see how she cares in any way about him, she obviously liked to bully him, insulted him, and was the driving force to get rid of him... Just because she calls him "senpai" doesnt make her behaviour okay in any way.

@Silwith I might be wrong, but I see no indication of brat loli instigating anything. All I see is brat loli having a terrible personality and mouth, but is actually quite okay with MC, as shown in this chapter (in her POV), where she mentioned nobody remembers MC and wondered how he's doing. Notice her expression in those panels, she wasn't smirking, laughing, disdain or such, she's just like whatever. I think brat loli, because she isn't that close to MC as the hero and the other 2 girls, simply have no problem voting him out, and that's what she did. Nothing more. Brat loli is just a tsundere and she probably have no dere for the MC. In other words, she's a bitch to him. Not the kind of bitch to set you up and put you down, but a bitch nonetheless.

They're just a wandering party of 6, you really think they need a gofer to buy their food and underwear? Honestly, if mage loli were here, yes, MC probably wouldn't be kicked out. But then they'll continue to babysit MC and this time, someone will probably get killed. Also, if MC only managed to stay because of the 2 girls speaking out, and not because of his ability, he'll feel worst than shit then, cause it'll be like he's holding them hostage and threatening the whole party.

IDGAF about the hero's party, tbh. All of it feels trivial when they discarded him and I'd rather read world building chapters with the MC in it. Thanks for the translations!

I don't get why people are comparing this to the usual edgelord party dismissal mangas. They partied as amicably as possible - though it will be interesting to see how the little girl sorceress reacts.

I mean, usually NTR is involved in these kinds of stories too, but it's clear Tiana still loves the MC. Most likely the moment their quest is over she'll return to him.

I keep forgetting they split on friendly terms; It's kind of refreshing, but I have to admit it also feels a bit off considering almost every story with the same premise had MC getting abused, tortured, mindraped, literally raped, or all of the above on the daily by his ex-party.

To be fair, i believe it was actually 3/6, they had to convince tiana to agree to it, she only agreed because she was worried about his safety (and it's pretty obvious she's regretted it ever since).
Hero douche was a childhood friend of the mc, but i think he voted to kick him out because
he wanted a shot at tiana, who is in love with the mc, so the easiest way to get a shot at her was to get rid of him, not sure how much this actually played into his decision though
, otherwise yeah i don't like the party other than tiana and maybe the mage(don't know much about her).

I will say that one of the biggest complaints people have about this manga is that the MC is way too self sacrificing, so be aware of that.

I understand that they parted on relatively good terms and all that but... I really don't want to see Eiga's former party any more. I'd much rather focus on him exclusively.

kouhai's a cunt and I can already tell her attitude is gonna come back to bite her in the ass. And the sorcerer is most likely gonna leave the party after finding out about him getting kicked out, Tiana will likely follow soon after.

@cpapaul He can't see the one on himself, he doesn't know that he's destined to rule, and we haven't seen anyone else with his skill to see destinies.

Wow the comments are saying bad things about the hero party huh they didn't kick eiga out of malice bc they had a reason and it made sense and the loli healer isn't really a douche loli there is a hint that she is actually worried about him in the last page and i am kinda hyped to see the development of mc

It is been some time I MT the original, but for what I know, the absent member will go for the MC when the fact is know by, but rejoins the hero party after that... Tiana drops by too
Mc is too selfless people...
he knew way ahead that he would be kicked out and broke up with tiana to let the path clear for his friend, this way she wouldn't give up of the party to be with him

@GrayBypasser I never thought about it that way, but you're right. Making enemies let their guard down when they take down 4 heavenly kings and sike here's a 5th one. I don't think it works the same for a hero or adventuring party though, seems more like a bad guy kind of thing.

@Cinna2Spicy People are mad because it seems like much more of a dick move if the vote wasn't unanimous. The huge cunt tsundere said "we were all in agreement," but that was a lie, they weren't, there was a person who was excluded from the vote who would NOT have been okay with it. I can't know this, but it almost feels like they waited until the black mage girl was gone before making this decision just so it wouldn't devolve into a huge fight that destroyed the party. Not that it looks like that's going to help much, because it seems as though there's still going to be a huge fight and it's still probably going to destroy the party. The Miracle 5+1 reduced to the Miracle 3.

I don't understand the argument some people are making, though, saying that they didn't have enough votes to kick him out. Including him, they're a six man band. Obviously he isn't included in the vote, so that's five people voting. Even if we ignore the fact that it wasn't a full vote because the black mage wasn't there, they only needed three votes to kick him, because 3/5 is a majority vote. They had the three votes.

I do, however, feel as though this is going to end up being a mistake for them. His chorus ability is absolutely broken, he's arguably THE reason their party is what it is at all. Any king with two braincells to rub together would pay him a mountain of gold to hang out with the military and be the personal trainer and babysitter for anybody with promise or a good destined occupation. Maybe I'm doing this series a disservice by comparing it to another one, because maybe in this world, there was truly nothing else for him to be doing, but this really reminds me of the Level 99 Jester manga (which you should read by the way, it's hilarious), and in that manga, a serious point was made that every party needs somebody who can handle the paperwork. Somebody has to book all the inns, manage the supplies, deal with the money, make sure the passports are signed and approved, negotiate all the arrangements, and smooth over any problems that might crop up. Any party that doesn't have a details person with some talent at smooth talking and managing money is going to end up in a world of trouble eventually. In that manga, the Jester was that guy, and he was kicked because the party all felt that he was useless, because he was a Jester from Dragon Quest. But of course, he was the reason the party was able to do as well as they had, and without him, everything fell apart more or less immediately.

Again, maybe I'm being a poor sport for assuming similar circumstances in two totally different series, but if nothing else, they could have kept him around as "their" Jester. He certainly seems to have a talent for dealing with people, which by itself makes him valuable even without his skills being taken into account. He's a perfect fit for the job.

That being said, I do really appreciate this manga for what it is, which is a version of the "MC gets dismissed from hero party" story where the hero party weren't all a bunch of sociopathic narcissists. The hero, the lancer, and glasses all genuinely seemed to have his well-being in mind when they did this. It maybe wasn't the most well thought-out decision, but they did have his best interests in mind, and not their own selfish ambitions, and that deserves some serious props. That alone makes this story a great deal more interesting to me.

@FStubbs They did indeed part about as amicably as it is possible to do so, I would agree. The problem is that, as they are likely soon to find out, "as amicably as possible" still isn't very amicable.

@cpapaul - MC wasn't even sure he wanted the territory until he looked at it with his appraisal skill. He probably expected to just look at it and leave.
