"Rape is how they reproduce" because of course it is. I think the bigger issue is that by their method of reproduction being copulation with humans, that means the orcs are half human by default. Yet everyone just thinks of them as pigs...somehow?

They can only produce one hundred percent male and orc babies, period. Think of a virus that invades a normal cell, overwrites its DNA, causing the cell to become a production factory to make more viruses. It's like that. And you could understand the Orc King being upset over his army being killed since it's hard to find enough human females to breed that many orcs.
If you've ever read Goblin Slayer, when that rookie Adventurer Team got slaughtered and one female member got raped, it's the same thing. And being raped and forced to breed with a monster would probably drive any woman to kill herself.
Ignis was real lucky that band of orcs decided to go look for more victims instead of gang-raping her. So no, she feels no pity over the orcs being slaughtered and turned into food.

@AnimeaddictionIV I get what you're saying, but at the same time we usually assume there's only 100% orc DNA and no human remnants left, but even in a virus there can still be some trace amounts of the original cells. The eating of the Orcs is my only issue because of possible human genetics. Everything else is pretty standard fair.

Keep in mind this is a "Magical" world where genetics don't always apply. In any case, there are some cultures that eat monkeys and they do share some genetic similarities with humans.
The thing is Orcs are not seen as humans and therefore it's not cannibalism. If you read Campfire Cooking in Another World, one dragon was okay with eating wyverns and other dragons, so long as it wasn't the same species of dragon.
Orcs are seen as completely different species, just as monkeys are seen as different from humans, even with some genetic similarities.

Man this MC is such a bitch food is food. I ate good ass bugs b4 what's wrong with some suspicious pork in Japan they have strange shit to eat too like horse meat, Goat yakitori, live octopus for some reason(personally they taste better grilled). I understand that some people would be weary of weird sources but don't knock it till you try it. Oh and human meat is a no no since I heard you can get sick from eating it since lots of people eat bad shit nowadays. Morally I won't but morality is an afterthought~

MC is truly annoying with his lack of motivation to level
Really need the country to come for his life before he stops being an idiot.
Atleast level up to be able to protect yourself

What do you think he's been doing all this time? He even said so in this chapter.

"Slow and steady, that's all I can do."

He doesn't have the magic or combat cheats of the others, and he doesn't have the king's backing. And the quicker he draws attention to himself, the faster the Depuri kingdom will know where he is. Besides, he's become a D-Rank in just a few weeks. That pretty good overall.

The moment the Depuri king gave him the boot is the moment that Touji cut all ties with him. Fighting against the Demon Lord or for Depuri's sake is not his responsibility and he owes him nothing. He knows that if they catch him, he'll be enslaved as the hero group's pack mule. No thank you!

That 'hero group' swallowed that Demon King nonsense hook-line-and-sinker. Even the common folk know that was nothing but BS. (read chapter 1.1 and 1.2). Touji was smart enough to see that and get out of there. (chapter 3 and 5) I would have done the same. And unlike those stupid teens who don't even realize they're being manipulated by the king, at least Touji is able to use his talents by choice and not because some crappy 'responsibility' is forced onto him.

From my perspective this is the problem I had with it. He has a lazy attitude towards everything from the start. Thats fine if there was growth later on.

So when the country is trying to track him down that was the time to show his growth. Show that you need strength to survive.

Only reason he survived is he got lucky, the girl and those adventurers helped him but that didnt trigger any I need to level vibes. He still stayed way too chill about it.

Then the girl who basically committed treason to smuggle him out he chooses to abandon meeting with her. Dude is an idiot. Now you could say he was being cautious etc but no he doesnt really use his brain so he definitely wasnt being cautious..... he didnt think that someone committed treason for him and is a merchant they could be a good connection for him in a world he knows nothing about.

Then the girl helpshim escape again and after this I would think If people for coming for you and you barely escape you would want to gain strength. He even saw that he gains exp and levels when people in his party fight.

He has money he could hire people with his money to ride a bus for exp to quickly level but despite knowing and mentioning he gains experience from party he doesnt. He literally gained levels last time like that when he was being escorted. He randomly found he gains levels that way so why not use that. If he's lazy he can be atleast smart about it.

He comes across cards and things when h's hunting and I recall him saying I can just get by picking up loot there is no need to fight (level) etc something along those lines.

You could say its humor but by that time you have had 2 near death experiences I would think you would take this a little more seriously to be stronger to stand up if the country comes for him.

Also I think he has the most op cheats. Think about his ability he can literally go around picking up summoning cards, and the way his skills are setup he can be unimaginably op compared to the others.

He can use hired party to level, pick up loot summonings etc and create things for money....i mean that is literally a super op setup if you use your brain properly.....

His lazyness and lack of being smart prevents him from maximizing the skills properly....

Also you mentioned that quicker he draws attention to himself but you also have to think that he is racing against the clock. The other side has a lot more resources then him so he needs to level or be stronger in his own way to to fend them off. Also make connections etc but as you saw he tried to abandon the merchant who basically is tied to the biggest merchant group without being aware or trying to learn he would have missed his opportunity. Conveniently it didnt happen but it wasnt due to his own planning or smartness but coincidence he got saved by the merchant girl and then they went together once again.

I mean I also know that cant expect the story to be perfect asmajority of isekais are recycled trash. The suggestions I was saying could make it better but this is definitely readable compared to some super trash ones I have come across

This is just the beginning of the story. According to the LN it's barely the middle of the second volume. So I think you're being a bit hasty.

Yeah, the adventurers and girl may have committed treason by Depuri's standards, but what proof does the Depuri kingdom have? Nothing. And Touji is still learning so he's bound to make mistakes due to him not having the same common sense as the world he's suddenly thrust into. He only has his gamer knowledge to use since it's the only thing that relates to this alternate world.

And think about it. If he stays in a party for too long, the other members are going to wonder why Touji's leveling up when not actually participating in battle. As of now, Touji is leveling up with his summoned monsters. So technically he doesn't need to be in a party with others.

And you have to remember that the 'hero group' have the advantage in magic and combat cheats. Even with his summoned monsters, Touji is at a distinct disadvantage and it would take a huge amount of grinding to even come up to their beginner stats in chapter 1.1. And the 'hero group' are higher at this point.

One thing working in Touji's favor is the fact that Depuri cannot cross freely into Togar due to border regulations and residents in Togar are protected within their borders. So when the Depuri king finds out that Touji is there, he can't send anyone into Togar to drag him back. Even the 'hero group' can't do it. Any invasion of Togar's borders without permission or just cause would trigger a war as the surrounding countries depend on Togar for commerce. Because the king kicked out Touji, he is not recognized as part of the hero group and therefore, doesn't belong to Depuri.

I mentioned the merchant girl committed treason to help him out but he basically was like f** you and tried to peace out. I mean his judgement skills and planning are kind of lacking.

It's true what you mentioned about the party they could be suspicious but think about it, he has money. He can randomly hire different adventures to do hunts and he gains exp. Plus with summon cards + exp he would be super op. It's just he takes a super chill attitude towards leveling, but you would assume a smart person who almost got forced would try to make their focus to get stronger.

It's like when he saw random loot of summon cards and he was like I" i mean its this easy do I really need to be an adventurer and risk my life doing requests". That was chapter 9.1 and its just his lazy attitude towards not understanding danger. I would think if you were being hunted and barely fled the country, and then you almost got killed but then barely saved by merchant girl you would develop some sense of I need to get stronger to be able to protect myself. Didnt really see growth from him in that. I dont mind if a character isnt smart from the start but if he's still being stupid or lazy after everything it kind of gets annoying.

Also yeah I remember hero group got summoned with boosted stats but think about it he can use party + summons to hunt......his hunting and leveling speed would be insane compared to others.

I just feel he barely takes leveling or hunting too seriously...in middle he always get distracted by one thing or another.

Also so far we know that he gets exp from party but when his slime king defeated those insane amount of people It didnt mention anything about him getting exp after the fight because his level would go up a lot after that massacre. if he gets exp from summons beating things then he could be ridiculously overpowered. Not as op as solo leveling but op none the less. Thats another thing that he never actively tried to discover do my summons gain me exp as well after he randomly found out a party does I would think that would be next logical step. You read the LN is he any smarter in there or its just portrayed differently.

Like I said, Touji is just starting out and he's new at this kind of thing.
Hiring out to a group of adventurers has its own problems. You saw what happened with the Iron Will Army, right? They abandoned him to those thieves.
Touji still recognizes the need to level up and there's no easy way to do so other than the hard way or leech off from his party. And the only party that he can trust are his summons.

Again, it's not worth being enslaved by the hero group, just to gain EXP. He'll always be below them. He'll gain some EXP, but their cheats will gain MUCH MORE. It's the same reason why he didn't stay with the thieves, aside from the threat of death.

And Touji did what needed to be done with that sewer job and the Slime King. And he's working on his manufacturing levels a lot because he wants to make potions that can raise his EXP. So if you think about it, that's safer and smarter than just grinding and risking your life.
Ever saw How Not to Summon a Demon Lord? The main character Diablo wondered why everyone else's levels were so low. It's because they don't have the option of grinding behind a safe computer screen and not worrying about risking your life.
Touji sees this as the same thing. He doesn't have the combat and magic cheats the heroes have in order to grind without too much fear of dying.
So yeah, Touji can make some boneless moves, but he's far more aware of his situation than the heroes.
The heroes are really desperate to get Touji, but not because they are concerned for him. They blame him for leaving them with the burden of carrying their own stuff. They can't get very far in the dungeon as their porters and carriers keep on getting killed and they can't carry enough supplies.

Yeah I get that he's new to this but I was just saying his lack of intelligence on things or focus after he is nearly used by the kingdom, possibly killed and used shows lack of growth.

Also with the money he is making he can hire high level adventurers and even if they grinded for a little he would get stronger pretty quickly....he could switch up adventurers to keep them from catching on.

Well I dont know if he really registers how crucial it is since he seems very immature and stupid the way he acts. Just few chapters ago when he saw random loot of summon cards and he was like I" i mean its this easy do I really need to be an adventurer and risk my life doing requests". That was chapter 9.1

Also yeah I did see how not to summon a demon lord and yeah people arent going to risk lives to respawn so they dont grind like crazy.

I am just saying as a mc he is not as intelligent on how he's developing after almost dying, hunted down and used......I dont sense urgency and wishy washy from what his plan is....

Also I dont want mc to be with hero party but he's not doing enough to level since he clearly states maybe I dont really need to level. I would think right after you almost get used and killed you would make a resolution that I need to level to survive and make a goal....he seems immature on that...

Have you read the Moto Sekai Ichi’i no Sub-chara Ikusei Nikki

Keep in mind of the main title to this story.

I Will Live Freely in Another World with Equipment Manufacturing Cheat.

Touji doesn't want to be pressured into fighting for someone against his will. He doesn't want to have the responsibility of fighting the Demon Lord or for Depuri's sake. He wants to live freely, so when Depuri threw him away by mistake, that was a sign to Touji that he can live freely. It's just bad luck that the Depuri kingdom realized its mistake and is now after him.

And if you go back to chapter 9.1, Touji even said he needed to raise his level due to basic gamer knowledge after hearing how hard it was for the Hero group to defeat opponents at level 50, despite having cheats. Touji knows that technically he doesn't need to be an adventurer, but if he hadn't joined the Guild, then he never would have met those adventurers who helped him escape Depuri, nor would he have come across those other people and friends willing to help him.

And there's one more advantage to being an adventurer.

Depuri cannot cross over into Tolgar, not just because of border laws, but also because the Depuri King can't close his own borders against C-Ranked or higher adventurers. All nations depend on the Adventurer Guilds for monster subjugations, protection and quests. Anyone C-Rank or above is able to cross over borders without being detained. In Chapter 3, Touji was still F-Rank at the time, so he would have been detained and later enslaved. Now Touji has reached D-Rank and he's just one rank away from C-Rank. Once he reaches that rank, then even if Depuri finds out where he is, they can't detain him nor stop him since that would violate the agreement with the Adventurer Guild

Wait, his beef bowl didn't contain any pork? Either it's a lost in translation thing or he is stupid.

Pochi, as a hairy creature, being in a kitchen would be a big no. Hair fall is very common, and the more the hair the more will fall. Those Donburi bowls would have a high likelihood of having Pochi's hair lol.

Pochi, you better do something about that fur before you go cooking.

Hmm. Would I hesitate to eat orcs if I knew they were intelligent?
I mean, as long as they racially attack humans, I think I can just classify them as wild beasts. We already eat things that are uncomfortably intelligent in our world, so I don't think it would be a big leap.
