The risk itself wasn't really gone. You're right. But the thought was probably simple. "Maybe if no one makes a move no one get's hurt" and then "Well i guess someone got hurt and probably more gonna get hurt either way and I'm angry, so just attack".
I just wanted to try to come up with possible reasons. It would make maybe more sense for the two girls to start attacking and the boy not, because he might still have an inferior complex/thoughts from all the bullying in the past.
But most of the time I don't even try to think of why the author decided to write the story 'this' way or 'that' way.
But I can understand why people get annoyed by certain parts. I don't really care too much about how the robbery went myself. But then sometimes I get really annoyed by other parts in stories :')
