The whole premise is destroyed by giving an arbitrary age of 30 to the whole cast. Like MOST idols retire at 25, some magical unicorns that manage to retain their "girlish" physique and appearance can last until 30 but that's rare and can be counted on fingers.
IN GENERAL in many Asian countries 25 and over are considered old and declining. There are even special terms for these people about Christmas cake. Acceptable age is being shifted but it's is mostly underdog opinion, more or less if you are not married by 30 you are considered "used goods" "old maiden" and etc. Women over 30y are not popular.
As for idols most of them retire at the age 25, some go to music some go to acting a lot of them though become grown ups and marry or get a job.

This is dumb beyond words. First, because it indulges in that whole idol purity bullshit as the biggest roadblock for Kirara. Oh my god, she had sex! Now she can't sing and dance anymore! Oh, wait. No. Turns out having sex doesn't rob you of your musical talent, it just makes you unpopular to weirdo purity-worshipping incel losers who can't cope with the idea that a person they like in a creepy parasocial way has a life outside of them.

Meanwhile he's going to be her manager, something the actual boss doesn't want and actively opposes, but somehow what's going to convince everyone to let him have the job is that he's setting conditions for his acceptance (which is silly considering you normally only have the leverage to set conditions when you are desired for the job, not when you're begging for it) two of which are a) I need to find out if I can even do this without getting fired from my real job and b) I need someone to teach me everything about doing this job that I just recklessly signed up for.

And then all of this is for the photos of him and Hebo, which he needs because he wants to marry her? That basically makes the photos irrelevant. Because 1) the photos get out and she would presumably stop being an idol because of the aforementioned purity bullshit or 2) the photos don't get out, but they would not be able to marry while she was an idol because of, again, the aforementioned idol purity bullshit. It's laid out directly in the second chapter that she would have to "graduate" before marrying.

They need to do this because it's the only way to maintain the drama and tension that the story requires outside of just focusing on the two of them getting to know each other, but it's so silly and artificial that it makes me not give a crap.
Isn't it pretty stupid to complain about idol culture in a manga about idols? If you have a hard time accepting the fact that idol culture exists and pretty widespread in Japan and that a manga about idol will inevitably include that part of the culture, don't read any manga about idols.

It's not about accepting that culture, it's about acknowledging they exist and not complain whenever it gets brought up as a plot device. This is not the place to rage against idol culture. Do it where discussions about this could be actually productive.

Still not entirely sure I trust the boss, I seem to remember they made a suspicious phone call at the beginning of the series. I don’t think they were talking about the MC on the last page though.
Prob the guy the other idol slept with. He said he had some questions for her so I'm guessing he did something

i don't like this type of plot, i'm guessing that she was druged and at the worst case raped, when i started to read this i just thought that i would see funny couple interactions but i got to idol manager thing that i really don't like since i think that idol industry is disgusting, i mean having it as a sub plot is ok but mc becoming a manager himself is putting me off so i guess that i will drop this

well the title of this manga is "Will You Marry Me Because I Quit Being an Idol?", so just like me he might have thought that idol stuff would be more like a sub plot since fl is quitting all this idol thing and the focus would be in the couple interactions, so our option is just to drop i guess i also liked the first chapters but ain't eager to continue reading after mc said that he will become a manager i mean wtf why?

Why in the fuck would the pictures of them together leaking in any way prevent them from getting married? Sure, her reputation among pathetic, obsessive idol otaku will be irreparably tarnished - but fuck those people. They're gross. But how does it impede their marrying one another? That's pants-on-head retarded.

Because having to undergo a massive scandal right before your marriage is incredibly difficult on a new relationship

Of course it is. But homeboy is acting like it precludes them from being able to get married at all. That's fucking stupid. The drama in this series is incredibly contrived. Then again, I went be complaining about this further since I dropped this series after catching up today on a whim. It's awful and shows no signs of improvement.

What do you mean you are not sure if he's a guy or a girl... He is a guy AND an okama type characters. It's practically spelled out for the readers by the way he's dressed, speaks, and his mannerism. Or her, depending on the okama type (which we do not know as of this chapter).
