This is a bit different from the previous challenge in that we know that the one to be eliminated will be one of the four (technically five) that we're being introduced to here will be eliminated. So I wonder who it will be? Like, Junna's obviously not going to be cut this round. (Even if that was Abi's plan) So the other choices are Mellow, Nei, Kasane, and Abi.

As much as I want it to be her and as hilarious as it would be if it was her, Abi's probably not going to be the one to be eliminated. The showcase of Nei's singing ability makes me think that she's probably not going to be eliminated, either, as this small group will give her a pretty good chance to show that off. And Mellow was in Junna's previous group, (as mentioned) so it feels a bit odd to shunt her permanently right after bringing her back.

So, via process of elimination... I guess Kasane's my bit for who'll be eliminated at the moment. Though at the moment I do think that it could be any of them. Things'll probably become more clear in the following chapters, though.

Really sad, but not surprising.

There are some good manga on that list that I also want to see animated, but that #1 pick really bums me out. The people that want wish fulfillment stories they can self-insert into still represent the largest audience for the industry. Everything else gets pushed down under the weight of consistently profitable market segment.

It might be worse than that. If I were her I'd think, "I don't have to worry about getting eliminated this round so I should do something extra to build up hype and win over fans."

When I saw the team I did think it might come down to either Kasane or Mellow for elimination. Now I'm sure that the latter will be the one cut off unless Junna pulls out a miraculous perfect plan to get the leader herself out.
And no, Mellow isn't safe because she was in Class D as well; remember Asaka who couldn't get through 2nd stage.
