@ToddSama So you're saying you're not "hip with it?" It's not "the bees knees?" You don't think it's "radical"?
"Whatever," you're such a "square", "dude."
(On a more serious note... Accurate translations, even of colloquial or transitory phrases is actually important, especially for comedy where wordplay can often be a factor. Plus, I'd rather people be willing to learn new (or relatively old) words/slang than hamper any writer's creativity by artificially narrowing what words can be used...
Plus censoring shit like that is the kind of BS that authoritarians are into, and I for one go to read these silly comics to take a break from dealing with that crap.
Remember, The only people that complain about Gatekeeping are those the Gate is meant to keep out.
Similarly, the vast majority of people crying about oppressors are those who are just mad they're not being given the special treatment they want. And I am absolutely ok with rejecting anyone's demands for special treatment.
@Renard It seems to be a "Why the hell am I not wearing one?" kind of thing because you always remember that time you hit your head so hard you sit on the side of the slope for over an hour. If you go skiing regularly the second or third time you ask yourself this question you buy a helmet for the next time. Now that next to everyone is wearing one the ones who don't stick out like a sore thumb.
It is one of those things that won't become mandatory because everyone is using one anyway. Same goes for riding a bicycle. In my country about everyone wears a helmet.
@dsid2814 You know what? I'm really glad that we're at a point where I get to be labeled with "SJW" for defending the right to use the term "normalfag".
Holy fuck this comment section is a shitshow. Just wanna say thanks for the translation and I’m really happy we get more characters for a senpai friend group!
Lol introducing friends after 73 chapters. This is the first time we have seen them right? I read a lot of comics, so I might be remembering wrong but I thought it was heavily implied that he was a loner who talked to no one in his class.
