Interesting premise, but Ilvizora seems to think he's going to rebuild his life as the MC of a pensioner slice of life manga with a cheeky live-in assistant. Never going to happen with the hero (aptly named Dante) looking like that lol

interesting premise
Guys, could this be...kino? :meguupog:

My one gripe is the surface-level "erm actually, the humans are the bad guys and the demons are the good guys" slop, wish that was developed a little more. Still, that panel of the Hero is exactly what I'd imagine a position like that to be. Needing an innocent and noble visage, but covered in blood from the necessity of the path he walks.

The hero's kinda twisted actually... He has one goal and one goal only and he would not let it get in his way, all in the name of 'good'.
Frankly, there's no real good or bad in this manga, and i wouldn't say 'slop' i think you meant 'trope'... However, i think it is a fair assessment by the demon king because it is told from his pov... They would naturally see humans as invaders that are trying to upset the world's balance, (like humans are literally performing a genocide here)
And then, on the occassional pivot to the heroes side, you can see it from their pov that demons are bad and deserves to be exterminated at all cost.

Each side just think they are the 'right' side.

But even if it uses the "Humans are evil" trope, it is kinda realistic. We as humans fight wars over resources, we fight wars over religion, we wars over land rights, we fight wars over ideology, and we as humans fight wars because that guy over there said mean things about us.

Even when we have a common enemy, hell bent on killing us all, some group will go to war on the rest of the world to be the ones to kill the enemy.

That's not to say all humans are evil warmongers, but you have to admit there is a voice in the back of you head that wants to crush your enemies, drive them before you, and hear the lamentations of their women.
