I mean from the way they were talking, it appears that the girls have stayed fairly connected with each other (to varying degrees) to this point. They knew Chise and Shouji were dating. Interestingly enough, they're all about the same age that Shouji was when they all met in that classroom about a decade before.

Funny to see people talk about age gaps when Chise is the same age as Shouji mentally lol. Nonetheless, satisfactory ending. This is a series I would recommend if not for its risque nature. And tbh I would take this series over Kodomo no Jikan.
