i hate this kind of plot, to make the OG!villainess seems good and kind they twisted the heroine with dumb act like that, if author want to make the 'evil heroine' pls put some effort on the her character not just acting like someone who dont have any common sense and delusional like that, i found a lot in japanese otome isekai.. its boring to see that trope again and again;;

Man this chapter really made the king look bad.
In the light novel the king was against this plan from the start and voices that, if remember correctly. He for sure was against sending children to war. Also we missed out on the punch from Claudia's brother to his father.

@pandamom84 I disagree IMO, evil heroines that are plotters and do a good job of hiding they're corrupt are a dime a dozen in villainness series, they're like half of all the heroine characters, with the other half just being genuinely nice ones that become friends.
Specifically the fact that she's just a fairly mean and out of touch reincarnator is a breath of fresh air.

Why help a country that hasn't done anything for you at least ask for something in return or just flat out refuse them.

@Oberon_

The novel vs this manga is different but your point still stands. The author does the same with some of the mothers.
I don't think the author is really got issues with parents but instead with people that don't take genuine effort to fix problems. There is also a fear theme going on which is getting in the way.

The MC's brother keeps trying to get closer to his sister but she's too stubborn in her negativity. The father wants to fix their relationship but he's just as negative as the MC if not worse.
The only reason he's okay with sending his daughter to war is because it could change people's fear of the darkness to praise. But this dude just accepted his daughter's negativity and didn't try to get closer to her in all these years which would have been better. That's one of the reasons why Liam hit's their dad after confronting him over the war idea. I was hoping that scene would be in the manga.

I honestly feel a bit bad for the heroine. She's clearly got some kind of mental health issue, and needs some kind of treatment.

Gerald isn't going to tell her something she already knows, he can't really go against her wishes, as for the king, that's something that was lost in transition from the LN, in the LN the king was adamantly against it (he technically was here too, they just did a terrible job showing it) while the father was arguably even less sympathetic than in the manga.

She's not doing it for the country, she's doing it for her friends and the few people she does care about.

Lmao, yeah, just send her to battlefield just because she got great magic but zero experience, knowledge, nor physical prowess of battlefield. Good thing this is a shoujo manga and not shounen and doesn't have tragedy or war tag in it 😂 shitty emperor, throwing decision to little kids, just give up your throne then

You know, I didn't think that I'd ever say this but Amelia is kinda growing on me. She might have only 2 braincells, but that's already a common thing for the people of that country. And you know what they say about dumb kids.

Ah yes, can't wait for war to end in 4 pages.

P.S. We're getting closer, guys.

Oho...so she's just going to confront it head-on, huh? I'm not sure I agree with the logic of her earning the people's favor, since using that power to save everyone didn't do jack for the poor man the first time around.

Still, this is a courageous move, it'll further set her apart from the heroine, and it forms an authority and connections that can't be overlooked. Let's just hope she doesn't get in over her head.

Okay yeah what the actual f*ck? I don't care how much of a pesky, b*tchy little sh*t she can be, her father shouldn't readily accept the request to send her daughter off to war and hesitate to agree that her life matters. I'm sure most of her baggage came before she re-incarnated but that lack of support and love can mess someone good.

It's a bit late to mention this but it's stupid how everyone (bar a few) are so scared of her power yet do everything they can to piss her off and treat her badly. When there's a powerful and savage beast next to you, you either keep your distance and don't disturb it, try to tame or appease it, or you try to kill it, you don't step on its tail repeatedly until it snaps just to prove it's indeed a dangerous beast.

I'd be more concerned about the actions of the kingdom rather than the enemy. You know what the enemy wants, that's obvious.

But, with the stigma of the Dark Spirit King, you have no idea on how the allied army will act. They can backstab, abandon, betray. No one would question a MIA or death on the battlefield.

When those you want to protect hate you the most, all bets are off.
