This is the best manga I've read in a long time..... Normies cant comprehend this.
Best? Eh, but the funny part is that this is actually extremely normal. People have exes and have had prior sexual history. That's real life, but people don't like seeing real life. I wouldn't say this is NTR, and for me it doesn't give me that feeling. If anything it gives me the angst response.
As someone who just started reading this week, the story actually makes sense. And its not a hard curveball, lot of comments about the 1st few chapters were wary about the "a little late".
Reading it in one go without prejudice and the guy reaction towards FMC actions have been off from chapter 1. It was like he already decided the FMC is not a romantic interest at all. The 4th chapter was him literally masturbating by a window directly in front of FMCs room, even Jun from Tomo-chan wasnt that oblivious.

The other chapters were also similar. Guy just had the vibe of someone who already decided that FMC is just a friend.

People just felt the whiplash because recent popular romance mangas have been fairly straight forward without baggage.
I mean, he talks about having a crush on someone for a long time (the FMC) and I don't think he has no interest in her after all this time. The real issue is confidence + likely some guilt for him acting on his hormones like many teenagers do in between their connections. He still liked her when he met Aya, but opportunity is opportunity at that age, and he wasn't in contact with her at the time anyway. They only reconnected afterwards. To me, he clearly likes her atm, and she likes him, but she's been living blissfully unaware of his baggage, which is why I find this series interesting. It hits on some real subjects - having a crush on someone, them being in a relationship with someone else, and then you getting together with them - this is real shit that happens to people.

honestly without this twist the story was generic and not very well writing in my opinion ( the art is cute but thats it)
its funny how its the opposite for some people

this is now the most interesting manga in a long time.

Wrote it off as fluff slop but people's whining made came back and re-opened my eyes to this masterpiece

I'm more disappointed than mad. It's an awful written mess for a generic drama.

It was fairly well written at first for a generic romcom.

Romcom's don't need the depth of writing a drama has, so the sudden turn to drama doesn't sit right with a lot of the original audience. And if you were planning to make it a drama from the beginning, that makes it even worse for build up and tension.

It's garbage but everyone has the right to like garbage. I read a lot of garbage manga that I enjoy. This is unejoyable garbage to me.
