I had a pretty strong feeling Yuu ran into Yami by chance, so I guess eat it, folks who assumed he sought her out to intentionally shit on Hikari's feelings because they see themselves and possibly a past experience in her and want the guy to be a scumbag just that much.

Some seem surprised by the fact that Yuu had feelings for Hikari all along, when:
--Hikari and Yami have been mostly narrating this thing, so we only really see his dialogue from their POV
--Yuu is overheard telling his junior that there's someone he's liked for a very long time
--He tells Yami after he couldn't get it up that he's hung up on his childhood friend
--We see him get uncomfortable (Hikari also notices) when their old pals reveal that he had tried and failed to get into her school
--He flat out tells her that he wanted to get into her school to be worthy of her but doesn't feel like he can be
--This is more speculative, but it seems odd to avoid someone for a week after they watch you jerk off if there's nothing between the two of you

Their relationship started because she wanted to fuck the innocence out of someone to bring him down to her level. She constantly lied to him. She ghosted him.

i do agree that yami is not a good person , not a normal person but in my book it usually takes a lot more to label someone as a bad person so its more like a different opinion . from my perspective its not that she's a bad person but more like a fucked up one , she has much more worse moments than an average person but not defining enough to be labeled as such . She needs help . her ghosting him to me feels like she didn't want to corrupt him anymore , wanting to let him off with the bad memories of him being ghosted so he can move on quicker , basically shitty asshole move but understandable to a degree

Nah I agree, the scanlator making it into a joke and saying how Yami did nothing wrong and she's the best girl or whatever makes it even worse because I don't want Yami's actions to be defended in the story. Like she's genuinely doing really horrible things. I get that she's young and not emotionally well but that doesn't mean she can be excused for her actions. Like, not to play that card lightly, but seriously..... If Yami were a guy and coming on strong to a younger girl in order to make themselves feel better, etc, it'd be obvious Yami is being scummy. I love the art and I love the FL and ML dynamic, however ugh I have such a bad feeling about the direction cuz I think it's going to get weird and possibly just fetishy with the NTR stuff.
