it's not even a trope, it's an identical synopsisSo we're into "Big brother accidentally know that his little sister is a Vtuber, so he also join and become new Vtuber himself" trope fest now. Iirc there's already like 3 manga with the same trope as that
That's peak
in Japan that's considered a genreit's not even a trope, it's an identical synopsis
sure but those examples are entirely different. they have similar set ups but ultimately had very different plots. like for example, average guy with harem, you've got rosario vampire, heaven's lost property, is this a zombie, etc. they're all average guy with a harem but they're all fundamentally different stories that fit the same category. "my little sister is a vtuber and i interrupted her stream and became famous myself" isn't very open for differentiation, at best the characters will be a bit different but the plot summary is too specific to be able to do anything especially unique compared to other series with the same setup.in Japan that's considered a genre
just like "four girls doing nothing" was a genre for a while, or "really boring average guy with harem" was a genre, and eventually "I got hit by a truck and now I'm in another world" became a genre
I'm only realizing after rereading how deadpan my response was. i was trying to make fun of how lazy genres became over time, but i guess it didn't get across.sure but those examples are entirely different. they have similar set ups but ultimately had very different plots. like for example, average guy with harem, you've got rosario vampire, heaven's lost property, is this a zombie, etc. they're all average guy with a harem but they're all fundamentally different stories that fit the same category.
