Actually does get a bit better. ML is low-key making preparations in this chapter to go do the right thing, though you won't recognize his prep until things are already underway. Sure, he's kinda weak for jumping at the sefure oppo, but rare is the high school kid with the true object of his affections beyond his reach who would turn down a chance like that.

Came here after reading the WN and I'm pretty confused. I was under the impression that the WN made it VERY clear that these two never actually had sex.

From the translation in a later chapter: "Haruta is dating Akiho, even though they didn't cross the final line..."

Edit: Okay, I went and re-read this particular chapter and it does seem it was implied. Thing is, it's so vaguely implied that I would not have even put the pieces together if I hadn't read the Manga. Kinda mad now lol
