Joke aside, I try to reread it but reverse gender role on girlfriend and bum boyfriend. IF bum boyfriend is a girl, and working girlfriend is a normal working man, many will say it is not a big deal, how sad it is...

This chapter made more sense than chapter one. Being the stealth knight at the drinking party is cooler than getting your postcards read on a radio show. This set-up reminds me a bit of Robou no Fujii. He's getting dismissed for being socially awkward, but he's secretly an admirable guy. I bet he starts to win over his coworkers one by one.
It's not about their gender roles. It's about him being a jerk.
that's if the problem is one works, the other doesn't. But it's not the entire picture. The main problem is that he was a dick to her- told her the makeup looked bad, ordered her to wash it off, ordered her to do the dishes. He could have done the dishes, but he was playing video games and being a dick instead. He could have heard her reason for the makeup, but he cut her off.
It's not about their gender roles. It's about him being a jerk.

Because it is made that way with how little screen time is bum boy, show how is he nagging and not even want to wash his dishes, saying nasty thing and busy gaming on TV.
And then suddenly everyone straight to judge he is worthless as cockroach without a second idea about, if he really is a jerk, what makes a woman stay with him? Is he really boyfriend? Relatives perhaps? An old friend crashing?
Hence I re-read the chapter and try to observe from different perspective, and MC man strikes me to looks more of SUS guy.
No normal working man will check cosmetics openly when he is on job with colleagues, and woman, a random guy approaching you and asking if you drunk then giving you cosmetics to makes you look drunk and you accept it without questions? Not even a question WHY a guy carry around a piece of cosmetics?
First chapter was good, this chapter felt like it disconnects with first chapter.

I think you forgot about the reading part when checking the 2nd chapter, its there on the page 16 that he's her boyfriend.

Yeah, I think here in the anglosphere it plays identically with the genders swapped, "omg he needs to leave that awful, shrewish woman. Who does she think she is?" Can't speak speak globally though.

In the gender swapped situation, SEA people will curse the woman for "being lazy, not doing anything in the house". For the manga situation, people will instead curse the man for "if u not the breadwinner, u do not have any authorities to boss your wife".

Spoilers on how her relationship with her boyfriend develops (off the top of my head, apologies if minor details are off):
His poor behaviour continues and their relationship remains frosty. He continues to criticize her about her work, personality, chores (which he doesn't contribute to) and even her taste in entertainment.
Notably, she enjoys ogiri, the same sort of comedy that the older Miki excels in, and likes a well-known comedian, even suggesting to her boyfriend that they attend one of his shows together. Her boyfriend repeatedly labels her boring and lame for not understanding the greatness of a Youtuber he watches instead who has more subscribers and therefore must be better.
Eventually they break up. It is revealed that Hirose only started going out with him at her friends' suggestion as he was considered handsome, academically/professionally strong, from a good family, etc., as she has always had "weird" taste compared to her friends, even in high school. She gets bombarded with thirsty guys on social media after she meets some friends and they post that she's now single again. She tries reaching out to a former classmate she thought was "funny" at the time, who comes off as desperate (for a hook-up?) so she quickly stops talking to him. The clear contrast is to Miki, who is wholeheartedly kind while wildly indifferent to her apparently great beauty. She becomes friends with the abrasive manager as well as the younger Miki.
We also see her boyfriend's post-breakup PoV. After he criticizes her and her family, he suggests they break up, and is shocked that she doesn't twice about agreeing to it. Throughout the day he thinks back on their relationship and blames her for the break-up, telling one of his old friends they were fundamentally incompatible. He's shocked to find out his old friend is now engaged or married, however, and begins to feel a little nervous. He goes to bed and dreams about HIrose. After waking up and coming down with a fever, he realizes that she's always supported him whenever he was sick or needed anything. He thinks back on what she said about how comedians and entertainers can help people keep their spirits up and ends up listening to the comedian she recommended. He finds himself laughing in spite of himself, which shocks him. He lies there through the night, silently tearing up.
