I know it's not the point of stories like this, the the mechanisms of the room itself were easily the most interesting part.

A shame it had to be a mystery.

The description of this manga had me fooled. I am glad I read this until the end. I thought the Gamer guy who died first was going to make a reappearance and do something to save the girl. This was a nice read.

@Kuraiaku
Probably a combination of both, see how he put a chapter title on the very last page. All things considered
especially the gothic pseudo-lolita
he's probably trying to bait readers into requesting a continuation. I got to say though, dude's quite decent at visual character design.

nice try, author, but one nonsense is enough, that's what makes it quite fun to read. Prolonged nonsense wouldn't be as impactful as it was decent.

Not bad but could have been better.

I'm guessing the last page was supposed to be a sequel hook 🤔

The art was nice so that's cool.

Hey, everyone, about the bonus pages. My theory is, the girl is Zenmai's unborn child. She says she doesn't remember anything and the room itself looks like a nursery. And the monster looks like a "womb", don't you think?

To add on to that, the first monster resembles a pregnant woman. Maybe it's all related to the creator of the delusions?

It was interesting enough, and the real good mystery wasn't whodunnit, but rather how everyone else is going to eventually fall apart in the group.

What I didn't like was that some panels were confusing In some panels time obviously passed where information was given, but then the next panel would be where the conclusion hits.

1st monster was, like @makkii-sen said, probably the mother. @Morbid_Charade Yes, that's definitely what's happening in the end, the 2nd monster is probably the mother's womb and the girl is the child.

Hence the part of the chapter title 'Childs Room 2'. Don't know why it's child room 2 though, a 2nd child wasn't mentioned at all... Anyway it looked like the younger brother died anyway, instead of going back. So either Kiriko was lying or the person creating the illusion wasn't the older brother at all?

@Not-Ak-not Sorry, the title should in fact say "Child's Room 1". I have changed it to reflect that. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Also, I don't think the younger brother died. He just "woke up" from the illusion after his older brother died, just like Kiriko had mentioned before. The somewhat shattering effect at the end was probably a representation of his mental state?

@Morbid_Charade I see, Child's Room 1.
The mental state theory does seem to offer a better interpretation. Little brother wakes up genderswapped. He already had a somewhat crazed and jealous mental state, as shown in the end after the big brother confronted him about having murdered his wife and child. Like you said the little brother survived everything. I also think he might be the real creator of the delusion and not the big brother.

His unconscious wish could have been to dispose of? all suspects & witnesses (including Usagigasaki who only he knew about) and go back to his old relationship with his big brother acquitted of the crime. AFAIR no one knew what would happen if the creator of the delusion was the last surviving person..

The alternate dimension haphazardly seems to be reflecting what could be some of his subliminal desires - him waking in the child's room, being a girl/child etc. Having lost his memory is beneficial to him, since his past self can be discarded and so on. Everything is going 'fine' until the monster shockingly appears through the door opening.
Anyway, thanks for translating it again, it was an interesting read.
