inconsistent chapter loading

Why is it that some mangas load instantly but others load like I'm using a dial-up connection? Is this something that I can fix or is it a site quirk that I'm just gonna have to deal with?

image servers are currently at their limit, popular and new chapters are already in the cache, older chapters tend to take a while.

We're in the process of adding more resources to fix this permanently

I would like to add to this thread. Although slightly different to the original issue I have also been having issues with loading. However in my case it is a single or couple of images in a chapter will just fail to load. Clicking to load or refreshing the page always fixes this, but I assume that this might be caused by a similar issue with the servers being at capacity? I am located in Australia if that has any significance.

Sorry for commenting in an apparently solved post but I thought it better than opening a new one for what is probably the same issue.

Honestly MD has the worst loading time out of all sites (even the crappy ones) It's at that point where I could find a different site, look for the manga, open the same chapter, load the entire chapter, and mangadex would still be showing that loading circle with the image number inside it.

Now I have nothing against mangadex, in fact I've been trying very hard to migrate over but the speed at which images load is unbearable and makes migrating simply impossible because every time I try to read a series I end up going to a different site because of the aforementioned issue.

If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears and again just to clarify I'm not shitting on mangadex, I'm merely stating my experience with the site and am asking for suggestions on how to improve it.

MD has vastly faster loading times and has now become bearable, I still see the loading circle but only for a few seconds which is a big improvement compared to how it was.

As explained by rdn, the image servers are already hitting their limits. It’ll take a significant upgrade of ressources before this is resolved.
