Impossibly cute and sweet. Although the story so far is pure sugar and checks all the "awkward boy, affectionate girl" trope marks, it feels weirdly refreshing. Or maybe I've been secretly craving something like this, huh.

I hope Shigeru's character is developed a little more, so far he's pretty annoying, but perhaps not irredeemable?

Also, she's the typical perfect girl in this kind of romance: she loves MC no matter what, even when the engagement (and the backstory) doesn't make sense, an old lady got help by this guy and in less than a day they already talk about an engagement? How the hell did she find him? Why would you give your daughter to a guy you didn't ever meet? And for the backstory: why would you, IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR MOTHER FUNERAL, give flowers to a casual girl on a swing?

Love the "antagonist", true chad that hates wimps: "you, with a perfect girl? Be real, otaku." He actually slaps you like life does, making you understand that this kind of love stories don't exist, and probably in a RL-situation he would be the actual BF. Tbh I hope in a justified NTR.

Honestly, expecting him to change quickly or assert himself is silly at this stage.
First, it's literally been 2 days in the manga. 48 hours. Character development takes time.
Second, he's a shy person with baggage. That sort of thing is not solved quickly.
Third, the situation he finds himself in is abnormal. Literally from loner to engaged to a beautiful girl. Thrust into this, and he's 16-17 years old, what do you expect?

It would make no sense for him to go all macho after three chapters in this situation.... Besides it's clearly not that kind of manga, what you get is written on the cover....
