If author really wants to throw some wrenches, make her forget about his birthday because she's working too much reviving the shop.

Remember when this was about Eiji's grandfather wanting to break them up?

Remember when his friend and the other girl were assholes?

This story is all over the place and making the mistake of telling a lot of disconnected stories as a way to avoid burning through a single one too quickly.

I miss Sensei Can't Teach Me About Love.
Damn you Axe-kun. Damn you.

How is creating a new product supposed to help when the problem is that no one is aware of how good the already-existing products are?

I'm just incredulous at how quick their enemies turned into buddies. This kind of near-instantaneous character 180 degree turns remind me of this manga, but thankfully this hasn't yet fallen to that level of trashiness and absolutely insane pacing problems yet.

"Then... you didn't start to hate me...?"
I called it. The most annoying thing about these misunderstandings still happening is that it exposes the lack of strong trust between Eiji and Aoi. If he trusted her, he wouldn't be so quick to believe in such a dumb development as Aoi, who likes him, suddenly hating him without him having done anything at all. It's almost an insult to her, even. Is he trying to imply she's weird in the head?

Their feelings are mutual, but their love is still too fragile if it's not rooted in trust. It lacks the security that it I think should already have at this point considering they've known each other for a while and even stood up for each other (or maybe Aoi does, but Eiji still hasn't put the effort into knowing her better, sigh).

This kind of frustrating misunderstanding is artificial drama created by regressing their relationship a little and then returning them to the status quo, "fixing" the problem and creating the illusion of progress. Taking one step forward because they took one step back in the first place does not count as progress.
