I have a weird personal connection with this manga. One of my hobbies is astrophotography, and I visited Noto peninsula in summer 2017 with the goal to capture an amazing nightsky at Rokko-saki lighthouse, the northern-most point of the peninsula. I planned everything beforehand, like the best spot away from any light pollution and the milkyway's position. Unfortunately, the only night I stayed there in a minshuku, it was cloudy and it started pouring. I was really disappointed like the MC in the manga. At least I could enjoy some better weather the day before and after my stay at Rokko-saki. I visited some places which are mentioned in the manga such as battleship island.
Fast forward to fall 2019. I was staying in Ishigaki island for a few days (also with astrophotography in mind) and I discovered a weekly manga magazine in a bookstore, with Magari on the cover. I immediately liked the art and asked for the tankoubon, but they didn't have it. I got the first volume a few days later in Kyushu, and it was my first manga I got in Japan in 2019. I then realized it was from the same artist as Ketchin, Fujiyama-san and Chion-san, which I enjoyed a lot.
