I mean it sounds more like he liked her and wanted her to love him back, but since she is a lesbian he had a thought of "maybe if I was a woman...nah" and is fine now rather than an issue of being trans, it almost feels like people are rushing to claim trans is the reason for the thought and not something more normal in expectation like love for someone who wont love backIts the lines after silly. "But i have to be a boy", "its impossible to change", "but i cant cry" etc.. All the while Tamaki herself seems to have caught wind, and is subtly urging hey dog its ok if youre a girl. But lets go back to their first meeting where Kasuga is absolutely rocked that someone got to pass off as another gender, and wished Tamaki actually was a guy twice (!!) not because of something silly like basketball or romance (seeing as he expressed this long after their sports days and he knows romance is off the table as he is) but to know that such a thing was possible. But idk really weird to be in a rush to go "NOT TRANS NOT TRANS".
Just write a trans character yourself instead of insisting that anyone who has nary errant thought out side of your cookie cutter definition of male/female is definitely trans. I swear it's not even like it's hard to find actual trans characters in manga but lazy people like you have to go out claim characters that aren't areLol you did not read shit. If it was just the guy pining for her why would Nekoyama Sr. be floating out the idea he could be a girl? Why would he be so hung up on Sr. getting to pass for a boy? God you cis people are insufferable. Sure, it's like 60% subtext, but like 40% is like very obvious that gender is at play like, be serious. The whole context for the two characters relationship was "you passed for a boy but youre a girl (wow thats incredible and i think im jealous for some reason)". Like Sr. Is aware of the guys feelings its a known dead end despite throwing that lifeline of "hey seriously think about who you are (gender isnt the reason why its a no)" and yet still Kasuga still has those feelings of wanting to be a girl. To claim theres 0 to do with gender, to claim there isnt any envy felt by homie, both that somehow Nekoyama was able to cross that line of gender, and that she is in a happy lesbian relationship, would be silly. Let's also just back up to a basic fact that seems absent too, trans people can also be lesbians, and sometimes, ones acknowledgement of being lesbian comes before fully grasping your gender.
Ah the classic "accuse trans person of being narrow minded about gender". Chud behavior. Where do you get off? Lecturing me about not knowing trans manga chars??? And then were did you see this character in particular definitively state they arent trans? Why would cis people particularly care whether random ensemble, just-introduced-before-the-final-volume one-off is claimed as trans. There's literally no stake for yall.Just write a trans character yourself instead of insisting that anyone who has nary errant thought out side of your cookie cutter definition of male/female is definitely trans. You aren't trans just a piss poor ally and I'm not accusing you of being narrow-minded about gender. Uh its news to me that im not trans. Weird though that i have an delestrogen injection for tomorrow and taxes to file under my deadname. Guess i am a menopausal cis woman on HRT with parents that went really off the wall with a "unisex" name that I somehow didnt resolve for 40 years. That aside.... How is it narrow minded? To read this chapter as a trans narrative? When did I say anything narrow and prescriptive about gender? You aren't trans just a piss poor ally and I'm not accusing you of being narrow-minded about gender. You are narrow-minded about gender
Do you like want to address any of my points or do you wanna play No True Scotsman, and pull the least charitable interpretation of my initial joke??? Also my pfp is literally a picture of myself that I commissioned from Max Graves.
