Something been bugging me for a long time every time I read this. What made them make him admiral right off the bat after sending in his resume? Will that ever be going to explain it in future chapters or did they already and I missed it?

If i understood corectly he is graduate from very prestigous university that not many can attend. He was also one of the top students who won all debates. The fleet just lost their admiral and had bad reputation almost no one wanted to get this job. So he was qualified and much needed. Someone correct me if im wrong.

@Yamibi I can understand all that but I have this feeling that its something more to it because when the Three Legged Crows was talking about how he is important to capture him ( in chapter 8 page 6)? Its like they know something about him that no ones else does. I just could be overthinking it?

@Redknight-9 I assume it's just one of those things where other characters somehow know the MC has powers they didn't even know they had, with the other characters being the mysterious fleet elders in this case. Not a super common trope, but a trope nonetheless. Still, you are right in that they never really explained it, and you didn't miss anything yet (don't know if there will be any future reveals because I think the raws are way farther).

@Redknight-9, May i contribute with what i know?

From the looks of it, being Fleet Admiral is basically the next most dangerous job after being an Angel in this manhua universe. If they're not Angel, like how the other two fleet's admiral is an angel, they risk being assassinated either by corrupt subordinates, terrorist, aliens, or so on, or simply get caught in a crossfire like in this arc. This resulted in a situation where there are no more voluntary applicants for the position and all three fleets constantly in need for an admiral that is competent and capable, especially Beiyang, who's fleet admiral position is still empty at the start of this manhua (cuz the last admiral was assassinated by that Kangjin Planet's dictator).

When the MC accidentally applies for the position, it's safe to assume that both Beiyang's and 3-Legged Crow's higher-ups noticed his great resume as a renowned university graduate and his personal academic achievements which makes him a potentially very capable fleet admiral, hence why they both tries to recruit him as soon as possible. (Kunlun is probably too far from the MC at the moment to try to snatch him too)

And so in conclusion, the answer for why the fleets is treating the MC like a very rare and valuable asset is because he IS, in a sense, a very rare and valuable asset. He's like the only applicant of said dangerous position in a long time.

@Haremmony A little bit to add: Kunlun represents the nobility, and assuming MC is from the poorest class, it's also safe to assume they wont want someone like that as their higher-up (due to nobility sponsoring them) before he proves himself.

Btw, this was all described when he first painted the floor with the asshole admiral/son duo.
