I can see where you are coming from but the story's focus is the interactions the yandere's have with the stream so the topics like him chatting at school may not be interesting for a stream but they spur interaction with the main cast. That and there are plenty of streamers that mostly chat with stream about stuff in their lifeI'm enjoying this series, but I really am being thrown off by the idea of him being so "interesting" that he makes all these women (and even men) fall for him. Everything he says is so bland, he's a base model basic bitch.
I wish a bit more thought was put into making him an interesting character... at least when he's playing the role of streamer - which would be surprisingly accurate to real streamers actually.
I mean seriously, he's chatting about how a guy told him to shut up?... That's it? That's less of a yarn and more of a string.
nun girl so far is winning since she knows who he isLike most people predicted, Crow is yandere girl #4 & was already obsessed with him. Can't wait for the chapter where they all find out where he lives because that will be quite the spectacle. Thanks for the translations.
They could have kept getting assigned missions that were clearly from a bunch of crazy people who are fans of MC.thw requests would probly be something like "Streamer-senpai talked a lot of shit about racism in his last stream so I want you to kill all racists for me. I'll pay over a bazillion dollars for each one you kill." But like from 70 different people. Which would show the assassin how batshit the fans are and I'd enjoy Crow just being terrified of even slightly getting on MC's nerves but the MC is just confused about why Crow is scared of him.But how would the assassin know unless they had to kill his fans?...
I could totally see this kind of streamer being popular. Zatsudans where you talk just about anything like what you ate for dinner is a hit for some people. And yeah, chatting about how a guy told him to shut up and then lamenting about it is interesting for some people. It helps that he supposedly has a great voice.I'm enjoying this series, but I really am being thrown off by the idea of him being so "interesting" that he makes all these women (and even men) fall for him. This is like hundreds of years before the time of TV, social media, radio, anything
Just to add a perspective, he’s the first and only one in the business in that world.
Fair argument, but people are shown to have the receivers to pick up his broadcasts, the Demon Queen has a computer... MC HIMSELF has a computer. It seems he created the internet, but not the tech itself (unless I'm forgetting), so there must be some other forms of similar entertainment (such as radio broadcasts), surely?Since he's the only form of entertainment of this particular type, he has a monopoly over the viewer ship.
That'd be an interesting twist - where he's inadvertently making everyone addicted to him, like he's a drug. He'd be something like a villain then. It'd also be an interesting twist on the yandere girls - they're actually not crazy, they're just jonesing for his magic (and explain behaviour such as getting "impregnated" by his voice)i think its more likely that blasting his infinite magic on the world via his broadcasting is making people addicted to it.
Is this true? Every old radio presenter I've ever listened to was genuinely interesting, and knew how to speak about things in a fascinating way. I suppose I wouldn't be shocked if this were the case though.Radio people weren't interesting and usually got popular through their hot voices and info
Fair point, but I also feel like they could have still presented everything he's said, in a far more interesting way, making HIM seem interesting. I said it on the slavery chapter, but that was a great opportunity to show WHY he is considered such an cultural and intellectual force, but they simply had him say "slavery is bad, just ban it" is so vapid and facile. He's talking points, no matter the topic, have never been better.the story's focus is the interactions the yandere's have with the stream so the topics like him chatting at school may not be interesting for a stream but they spur interaction with the main cast.
You are right, there are streams where people just watch others eat that are popular - those are very niche however, and I wouldn't call them a "cultural force" that the MC has supposedly become in this comic. Perhaps I'm expected to strain my incredulity even further to believe he would be popular?Zatsudans where you talk just about anything like what you ate for dinner is a hit for some people. Probably not by much. I've seen streamers who get twice as much live viewers on a zatsudan than on a game stream. Unlike a radio show, it's actually fun when you can interact with the streamer live, and when they aren't too focused on playing a game. Even just watching them interact with the viewers can be interesting, so you don't lose out if you never get a turn. You are right, there are streams where people just watch others eat that are popular - those are very niche however, and I wouldn't call them a "cultural force" that the MC has supposedly become in this comic. I'm afraid to point it out, but it seems the cover of chapter 1 was sneakily changed and isn't where the other covers would be, so we can't even check out who the last girl you're talking about might be. :xwell from the cover of chapter 1, there is only the red hair girl left now.

I think if the comic's premise is that he is such an entertaining person that he's become a major political figure, showing a few examples of how/why that is the case is important - that slavery moment is a perfect opportunity and it was fumbled spectacularly in the writing department.
I would assume thats when the battle royale arc beginsLike most people predicted, Crow is yandere girl #4 & was already obsessed with him. Can't wait for the chapter where they all find out where he lives because that will be quite the spectacle. Thanks for the translations.
