I really don't get some of the views here. Like, the Assassin's Creed franchise is popular for a reason you know? Assassins being cool as a concept is a perfectly valid opinion from someone that used to live in the modern world.

At the same time, no one would argue that they're not a bad job because, you know, they kill people for a living. Streamer just voiced the same opinion a lot of people have on assassins IRL, so the absolute trashing of his opinion here in the comments by some people makes no real sense.

Why would I do that? Outside of a single page, of only a few chapters, "streamer" doesn't really appear.
Like I replied to someone else, I actually enjoy this comic, I'm surprised that half the the people here are commenting that people are taking this comic too seriously, whilst taking my comment too seriously.

Well for one, when people discuss media, it doesn't have to always be glowing commentary, sometimes discussing faults can be fun; even when we actually like said media.

For Two, just because this is obviously light hearted, non-serious fun, doesn't mean I can ignore the blatant flaw that is "streamer", or more precisely, his incredibly unfortunate dialogue.
As I've previously written (haha I think in every chapter "streamer" says something) Streamer is a supposed cultural juggernaut who changes the countries opinions with his words. Everyone (in the comic) paints a gushing picture of how charismatic, and intelligent, and grand he is.
Then we get to scenes where streamer is... streaming, and as I wrote, it is some of the most lazy, facile, pathetic and half-baked dialogue, on some rather heavy and lofty topics.

"Slavery? It's bad lol"
"Prostitution? It's cool lol"
"Assassination? It's cool lol"
"War (with the Demons)? It's bad lol"

There are so many brilliant points and persuasive arguments that could be brought up by Streamer, but to keep his points so garbage is just frustrating. It's just glaring that the Author put no thought into the stream, and the Dialogue by streamer, despite the fact that it's what caused to have such supposed cultural relevance.

(As I wrote this, I realised it would have been fun if they had played the stupidity, and the population's exaggerated belief in Streamer's intelligence, as a joke... Oh well...)

Anyway, I think simply saying "don't take it too seriously" because "it's not meant to be taken seriously", is silly. Do you think the author wants to create something sub-par? No, of course not. If Streamer had the good dialogue he was supposed to have, it would have elevated this series.

Anyway, to reiterate, don't take comic discussions so seriously and let people have fun - I'm enjoying the comic, and I enjoy ranting about it too. :dogkek:
I'm not opposed to criticising things I like as well, I just think it's dumb to expect Socrates in a comedy harem manga.

There's nothing wrong with criticising things you like, I just feel it's daft to expect Socrates in a harem manga. It's like complaining that the plot in porn is bad.

Honestly, I do see your viewpoint in that the MC isn't exactly the cultural juggernaut that the in-universe public would have you believe, but it wasn't as if the MC set out to be one in the first place, he just wanted to be a popular streamer, and it just so happens some of his most rabid fans are also the movers of the world. Hell, his dumb ass still hasn't realized that he was the reason for the human-demon treaty or the execution of the bandit group previously, but that's probably more than enough to convince a medieval era audience that he's a mover.

It's not even too different from reality at large, I'm sure you are able to name at least a few 'influencers' whose takes on things are overly naive (or even outright malicious), and yet they still manage to acquire a sizeable follower count some how.

So now only the princess doesn't know

Nah, Princess mostly worked it out 4 chapters ago. And then definitely worked it out a little bit later. It's not made clear though that she's realised it's him.

Oh sure, I'm not expecting Shakespeare from it, but I expect something rather than nothing, which is what his argument were

"Slavery? It's bad lol"
"Prostitution? It's cool lol"
"Assassination? It's cool lol"
"War (with the Demons)? It's bad lol"

I wrote those in jest, but they're also his exact arguments. I've read a few people say "he's a teenager, of course he won't have the best arguments", and yeah sure, but to this degree? I think people look down on teenagers too much if that's the case.

Sure, and I get this argument (sort of similar to the teenager argument though), but even those idiots tend to make some sort of coherent argument (when they bother to make one), even if it's stupid. Like I said, Streamer literally says nothing.

What does this say about the world he is in? Have they never once had discussions about slavery even on the most elementary level? Has no one ever had a discussion with a demon before? Are there no groups trying to help women who are in the sex industry at all (yes, such groups have existed for many many years)?
The world that is changed by his non arguments is the most nonintellectual world that could possibly be painted.

That aside, even if real streamers are that stupid, does the really mean the author has to write it so infuriatingly accurate then? Can't he take artistic liberty and write good dialogue and a decent argument?

Anyway, I think that'll be my last post on this chapter, I've written more points arguing about how streamer's arguments are garbage (in this thread alone... probably just this post alone) than the author ever wrote for Streamer.

See me next chapter as I continue having aneurysms from streamer's "wit".

(Seriously, I am enjoying this comic though, streamer makes up very little of the actual comic's content, despite it revolving around him, and even then, I do get entertainment out of how astoundingly stupid streamer is every time he streams)
