When it comes to Isekai, the elves situation is almost always very polarized, they're either at the peak of their power/arrogant or destroyed and enslaved by someone else, it's annoying.
@gaigous more like you've read too many isekais 🤣There are some stories that go with the no drama route, slice of life stuff, but they're sometimes more boring to read. It's give and take. Go with a dramatic trope for hype, or go with zero drama and make a snoozefest.
@firosahoge Too true, I always want more quality edge but edge without melodrama/angst is a rare thing, and I'm very picky when it comes to SOL, Sturgeon's law is in full effect...
His cold words and expressions are one thing, but his fatherly, caring actions toward his one charge are saying something else. The kuudere is strong in this guy.
This supposed elf queen badly needs re-education regarding modesty and fashion sense.
The recalcitrant-curmudgeon-with-a-heart-of-gold bit is being overplayed and is getting tedious.
Turning down a war orphan from a bloody orphanage just because she dreams of revenge, is idiotic. That pretty much excludes 90% of all war orphans. Poor writing.
