The point I was getting at was:
1)the fact that "arithmetic" was necessary to make sorcery, suggests that small variations in angle and distance is significant in the output.
2) The final symbol for a simple spell is complicated.
3) it took less than 3 years for her to figure out enough to make that spell.
Like imagine if one of those lines was a fraction of an inch off in spacing and that made the whole symbol inert. How long should I make this line? Does it's direction matter to the caster? If i draw another line same questions but what about it's position spacing, and direction to the other? Do I draw shapes? How many, what kind, how big, and where? What about writing text? what do you say and where?
And what if 99% of all this resulted in nothing happening (inert) because of that change/variation.
