So... Wait... This guy is told to climb a mountain full of fire monsters. He gets to the literal foot of the mountain. He loses his equipment to the first fire monster he encounters. Needs help from his guards to win the fight.

And then... He's going... What, like "I don't need you anymore"? Does he think he's finished after beating up a newt? How does he intend to get past the rest of the monsters after killing the help he needed for just the first one? Does he think he is finished? Is he an idiot?

That is exactly what he thinks, because he can't even imagine that the fire axolotl was actually a independent mob that he provoked, and not the final boss, considering how fast his important equipment melted away.
