Been a while I read the volume, but yeah, on a smaller scale though, mainly to aid his magic rather than guns. And one of the main antagonists seems to be originally from his world too(he was big bad there too, I may remember wrong but he may have played some part in Suimei's father's demise). Unfortunately the only development we got of him was a short introduction and tidbit in volume 9 before the End, Suimei himself never even got to meet him. Or even know he lived in that other world now...
