The original WN as much as I like it, has a lot of waffling. If memory serves me it took 36 chapters or something like that to get Roxanne and another 30+ chapters for each new member after that.

The manga is the best version, but boy is the pace glacial. We're going to be here for another decade before it catches up to where the LN is right now and the LN is getting another volume fully translated every few months.

In the WN, he topped out in the mid to upper 30's floors. If he's up to floor 50 in the LN, they've substantially passed that up.

Been re-reading this from the beginning and it actually does go into this (chapter 15-16 iirc). He asks Roxanne about various things like character reset and bonus points and she doesn't understand. He says "it's a secret" because trying to explain it wouldn't make sense. Not necessarily that it's a secret from her but that it's a secret that he can do strange things and not to tell others. Most of his abilities are game mechanic stuff, which we all understand, but now try to explain that to someone from 1950; it might work because you can call on common frames of reference, but it'll still take a while. Then realize you're not trying to explain that to someone from 1950, but someone from about 1250, and you don't have a common frame of reference, and the person you're trying to explain this to is a hot girl and you want to impress her, so you just do the typical middle-school syndrome thing and say it's "a secret". ⬅️Our MC.
And don't forget that he's 17; he is absolutely thinking with his dick 24/7.
