Couldn't they get information about magic and wands from the guild, instead of randomly buying equipment? And what's so bad about the shield cement when he was looking for a rental house? Just warp outside the front door? If he's worried about being seen, it looks like no neighbors within line of sight.

Roxanne is pretty insane, far more than we have seen right now. 😏
Roxanne tribe are all great warriors( thanks to the beast warrior class and animal instincts ) and she herself is even more crazy because she have some scary abilities outside of her class👺
She among other things can sense the presence of living creatures around her like she is spiderman or something and her combat reflexes are god tier 🤓
She honestlly would have costed alot more if not for the slave owner selling her at a lower price (something they only mention in a side chapter with the slave traders POV in the light novel ) 😄
he actually realised that our dear MC was far stronger than he appears ( even if that was only half true at the time) from him beating the shit out of the bandits more or less alone. 🧐
and sold his best slave for a pretty discounted price to get in good terms with him, witch actually paid off for him in the long run.... But thats still quite a few chapters later in the story. 😘
his second slave, the one you can see in the first picture is going to be an even better investment depending on who you ask, even if she is nowhere near as good at fightning as Roxanne 🤑
Then again Roxanne is pretty much a goddess of battle so its not really fair anyway. 🤣

@captain_crunch wands and canes more or less do the same thing, the thing he was sad about was the fact they took up two inventory slots as normally he can stack items of the same type.
like for example he wont be able to stack a staff and a battlestaff even if they are more or less the same type of item so it takes two slots, when at the same time he can carry 10 bags of leafs in one slot.
as for the cement thing. normally adventures can't teleport into or around places when they are made of cement. you would have to have a small shed abit off the yard or you would have to walk home after teleporting somewhere close by... don't underestimate how lazy people can be.
there might be more to it but i dont really remember.

normal adventurers have an inventory slot of his level divided by 10 if im not wrong so the slots are limited alot .... for normal people that is

The author is expressing that we all tend to change as we grow up and that becomes our point of maturity. The most common being things like war service, parenthood, personal loss and personal gain. The thing about conservatism and communism was showing how those people changed. The Revolutionaries in France were radical progressives that even changed the measurement system and weekday system in France, in the pursuit of the new and better. Those people then became conservative after the birth of the Republic as their perspective changed. Same for MacArthur. He was the commander of the Allies in the Pacific. He made a number of decisions in Japan to break the 'warrior-spirit' of the Japanese people, but he then focused his attention on the spread of Communism and then found himself a fast ally of the Japanese people.

@DonGiovanni Even though slaves are treated better than they were in our world, don't forget that Michio's treatment of Roxanne (and later other slaves) is still pretty unusual by the Other World's standards. They don't see it as rude to check a slave out like that at all.
The laws on slavery seem to accord them rights similar to pets, which is at least better than being an "object". You wouldn't think twice about doing the same to a cat or dog, would you?
