The thing is, apparently nobody in this world managed to clear a labyrinth yet. They mention the first emperor being the one who went the furthest at floor 91 but that's it.One of the many things that bothers me a bit in this (and I might be a fool in seeking logic in isekai slop, but...): it's the second time they mention in this manga that it's the lords responsibility to "exterminate labyrinths" that appear in their lands. And at first this makes sense, since monsters attack people and cause trouble where the labyrinth forms... But, so far we haven't really seen much of that. In fact, it looks like a MAJOR CORE of this world's economy is linked and dependent on those same labyrinths. Once they appear somewhere, people start making money. So, by destroying these places aren't thet effectively destabilizing the society? Or am I just dumb?
That was in regards to the specific labyrinth where they have their home base. There's never been an indication that no labyrinth anywhere has ever been conquered. I recall it was stated that the reward for doing so is to claim ownership of the lands around it.The thing is, apparently nobody in this world managed to clear a labyrinth yet. Wasn't there a chapter or several that brought up that the extermination applies to labyrinths that spring up too close to highly populated areas, and the exceptions where labyrinths are in cities are when the cities form around a labyrinth that is seeing heavy use and thus the labyrinth is effectively walled in because the city was designed with containing it in mind? One of the many things that bothers me a bit in this (and I might be a fool in seeking logic in isekai slop, but...): it's the second time they mention in this manga that it's the lords responsibility to "exterminate labyrinths" that appear in their lands.
