For everyone who doesn't play board game RPGs alignment is something use to simplify character morality and motivation.
Think about evil and good like the Jedi vs Sith rather than classical hero vs villain

"Evil" has a lot more to do with actions of cruelty, excessive force, and domination. A evil charcter will gladly kill innocent people to achieve their goals.

"Good" has more to do with kindeness, respecting life, and people freedom. A good character feels obligated to protect the innocent.

A neutral character is self-centered and will protect themselves before they protect someone else.

To give an example: a couple is in a car having an argument the boyfriend reveals that he wants to break up. He is distracted and the couple get into a car accident. The girlfriend gets out of the car and she's perfectly fine while the boyfriend is injured and trapped in the car and needs immediate medical attention.

If the girlfriend has a good alignment she will go out of her way and save her boyfriend. Ignoring the possible danger. even though the boyfriend wants to break up with her he is still a human and all life is worth saving.

If the girlfriend has an evil alignment she will let him die. Simply because he broke up with her. The girlfriend might even enjoy watching him die and see it as a punishment. She also won't feel bad about it later.

If the girlfriend has the neutral alignment. She would was simply just call the Emergency Services and wait for an ambulance to arrive. So that he can be sent to a hospital. The girlfriend doesn't think he should die but she also isn't going to put her own life at risk for a guy who just broke up with her. If he dies she will feel horrible.

You know why I think this fight is so satisfying for many people? It’s because the opponents she faces are both competent and idiotic. The veteran knight has showed his skill and wisdom in previous chapters making him a threat and added risk to the fight. While the arrogant zealot committed foolish actions that angered the readers and gave joy in seeing him fail. Sure Atou being evil is entertaining, but evil alone is worth nothing if the opponent is not either infuriatingly arrogant or a competent fighter.

I would say the MC probably shouldn't stick it in crazy, but to be fair, they provoked her.
