tf i know they want cliffhanger but they legit spend a whole chapter talking about a support animal, then go back to the actual fight, and cut off like that?!
there's bad pacing and there's throwing in 2 cliffhangers in one chapter

these D&D terms doesn't make any sense in a "real" world setting, It's not turn based...

If its downside is that it can't enter dungeons, I'm guessing it's some marine animal that gets bonus stats due to difficulty of use. There's not many marine animals that would actually be useful on land though, so I'm thinking some kind of octopus/squid that basically acts as the boa constrictor x8.

Or, if the black mist is actually pouring out of the bag + it's not just an ominous cliffhanger, some poison-emitting animal where they have to basically just toss it out, hold their breath until the enemies die, and then put it back into the bag before breathing again.

Rosinante will definitely get jealous while Charlotte adores that weasel, if ever they summon it

I cant believe the author can publish a manga once per month with a 9 page chapter is this not fucking insane to anyone? Its not like its 4 koma or weekly updated.

this chapter was pointless, this could be reduced to 1-2 pages and advance the plot a bit, dont know how an autor can get away with stuff like this.

@Capt_Gigglepants In some situations, "munchkin" can indeed have to do with small, but not in terms of this manga. "Munchkin" is a gaming term, talking about "Min-max" gamers (gamers that "minimize" some traits they don't plan to use/take "penalties" that they think won't apply very often in order to "maximize" other traits/gain additional benefits). So when he says it is an "ultimate munchkin animal", what he means is "it is an animal that can take advantage of a loophole in the rules to great effect". There is a card game "Munchkin" which can be fun, and plays on the stereotype as each player tries to build their overpowered characters and win with the cards they get.

The name of the manga itself is about somebody that seems weak (not somebody that is short), but because of a deep knowledge of the rules (thanks to stealing the equivalent of the DM Guide), he is able to exploit the system in order to overcome his "bad luck" in terms of the rolls. This manga is very clearly written by somebody who loved playing D&D, and probably liked to Min-max quite a lot.

@jokerxhisoka

well keep in mind that dnd terms are made to represent "real" world settings like this. For example, a turn is 6 seconds "real" time.

Technically six seconds is the round and all the turns fit into the round based on initiative.
